    This was the second store we went to…looking for a very specific sized dishwasher and the store manager, Kelly, went out of his way to help us find the right one. When we made our decision, Kelly was busy and asked the department manager Paul to assist us with the purchase. Another great staff person! We will definitely choose this store to make our future purchases! Thank you so much.

    If you're having one of those days were you just want to be left alone, then I highly encourage you to go to Rona is Spruce Grove. The staff will respect your privacy by completely ignoring you and avoiding eye contact. They will even see you and turn and walk in a different direction to give you space. (Very thoughtful) If you are into treasure hunting then go on there website and select an item and note the isle. Then go to the store and attempt to find it. You may eventually find it at the other end of the store. If you are up for a real adventure and want some exercise you can wonder the store for hours to find the item you're looking for, and the only time staff will acknowledge you is if they accidentally bump into you while they are looking at their phone. But don't worry they will just say "sorry" and continue on their way to avoiding everyone. If you don't have time and don't want to get frustrated, then I would suggest you just go home and read Canadian tax law. Also don't worry about parking because there is plenty of it. I believe the lot is being used as a Park and Ride (perhaps that's how they stay in business) because if there are few dozen cars there, I only seen a handful of actual customers in the store when I've visited. On a positive note. The guys in the Lumber yard are very nice when the weather is good.

    Extremely disappointed with my experience at RONA today — especially with an employee named Chris.- Seeing the recent one star reviews from this store I am assuming most of these are directed at her. I came into the store to purchase an item that was only available as a display model. The cashier was polite and confirmed that I could buy it but mentioned there might be a short wait because the employee from that department was outside assisting another customer. I completely understood and waited patiently. After waiting for quite some time, I noticed an employee nearby. Once she finished speaking with another customer, I politely asked if I could take the display item since I had already been told it was okay to purchase. Out of nowhere, this employee — Chris — snapped at me in an incredibly rude tone, saying “Can’t you see I’m with someone? He told you I would be with you.” First of all, the cashier I had spoken with was a woman, not a man. Second, there was absolutely no reason to speak to a customer like that. I later learned this wasn’t even the employee who had been outside originally, so there’s no excuse for that kind of behavior. Chris’s attitude was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and embarrassing. As a paying customer, I should never be made to feel like an inconvenience for simply asking a question. If Chris cannot treat customers with basic courtesy, she has no business working in a customer-facing role. RONA seriously needs to evaluate the kind of people they put in positions representing their brand. This experience has completely changed how I view this store, and I strongly suggest other shoppers avoid dealing with Chris unless they want to be spoken to rudely and made to feel unwelcome. RONA, do better. Your customers deserve respect — not attitude.
