My experience with The Brick in Medicine Hat has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
I purchased a Samsung QN75Q80F TV on January 21, 2026. The same day after installation, I discovered a defect on the screen (visible on light backgrounds, with no external damage). I reported the issue to the store the very next day, as advised by Samsung after their diagnostics confirmed there were no software issues.
From that point on, I was constantly sent back and forth between the store and Samsung. The store claimed they could not proceed without Samsung approval, while Samsung clearly stated that they do not work directly with end customers and that the dealer must initiate the process.
What made the situation worse was the complete lack of professionalism from the store staff. Every time I called, I had to explain the entire situation from the beginning to a new employee. I was repeatedly promised that someone would call me back or keep me updated — but not once did anyone actually follow through. The only time I received any response was after repeatedly pushing and sending follow-up emails myself.
I provided all requested materials multiple times — pictures of the defect, the box, the invoice, and proof of communication with Samsung. Each time I was told that my case was being handled and that the process was being initiated.
Then the store simply stopped responding after February 19.
Now, more than two months later, I am being told that nothing can be done because the 30-day return period has expired — despite the fact that I reported the defect within one day of purchase.
This clearly feels like a deliberate delay to avoid responsibility.
I did everything correctly and on time. The store did not.
Very poor customer service, unprofessional staff, and zero accountability. I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing electronics from this location, especially if you expect any support after the sale.

Karen was the sales person I met at the brick, she was friendly and straight forward. No sales malarkey. Asked me what I was looking for and figured it down to 2 out of all the other items. She gave me her card and I said I would be back. No pushing ,no pressure. I came back half hour later with my mind made up ,Karen was there , 10 minutes later all done . Pick up in two days, happy customer. Thank you Karen ,would recommend you without hesitation.

From the time I received my Sofa and recliner (scott brothers) i have had nothing but issues. Glad i bought the warranty. Person came and repaired the one side of sofa, wouldn't do the other side because he believed no problem. Came to fix the side he said was not built properly, after he fixed the damage, he sat on the other end and confirmed it was also not good. This is how it came from manufacturer, foam on both ends of sofa recliners were bad. So now i have to call in another warranty issue, for other end of sofa. Called The Brick, and this time they want me to take photos of damage. I will not as i will have to take this sofa apart along with electronics.. Not very happy! will have to keep calling back until they send someone out.. POINT IS - SOFA WAS BRAND NEW FROM FACTORY, HIGH END SOFA AND THIS IS WHAT YOU GET. if i didn't buy the Warranty, I would be hooped.

We went looking for a new bed. Shannon at the Brick was amazing. She is the absolute opposite of the typical Furniture Sales Rep. There was 0 rush or push. Asked for top mid and bargain and no pressure to swing either way. We left and there was no follow up calls. We came back the next day and finalized and at no point was there pressure to upset which was greatly appreciated. If you are looking ask for Shannon R. My husband and I originally went in just for a fridge, and Shannon was incredibly helpful. She gave us all the information we needed without putting any pressure on us to buy right away, which we really appreciated. Because the experience was so low-stress, we ended up finding a couch and loveseat we loved as well. Shannon made the entire process seamless and pleasant. We will definitely be using her for all our future purchases. Highly recommend asking for her if you’re stopping in.

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?
Yes. You may cancel your order by visiting any Brick location. Purchases made online and in store are refundable at any time prior to product delivery or pick up. Refunds are made only to the same credit or debit card used to pay for the order. Cash payments will be refunded to a debit card or via cheque and mailed to the person who paid for the order. Deposits on Special Order items are non-refundable.
Can I get my deposit refunded in cash if I paid in cash?
Unfortunately, not every Brick store will have enough cash on hand or the exact dollar amount required to refund your deposit in cash. We're happy to refund cash payments to a debit card, or via a cheque made out to the individual listed on the invoice.
