    My wife and I just completed a major home renovation and originally planned to use Rona for several things, including a new kitchen and bathrooms. When their team came to take measurements for the kitchen and washrooms, the representative seemed more focused on questioning who was doing work in our home rather than performing accurate measurements. He came across as unprofessional and pushy, which immediately raised concerns. Later, we discovered the measurements provided were inaccurate and incomplete. This motivated us to go with a local cabinet shop instead. We still tried to give Rona business by ordering appliances, which turned into a nightmare. The induction range we ordered months in advance arrived damaged—the front drawer would not open properly. They sent a replacement, and it was damaged too. Their solution? A $400 rebate on a $3,000 stove. I declined. When we finally plugged in all the appliances at the end of the reno, the fridge didn’t work. My wife called the store, and they told her to call KitchenAid directly. It was past there 48hr policy and that's that. The fridge sat in our Kitchen for a few weeks while the reno was being finished before we plugged it in. Zero respect for customers and absolutely brutal customer service. The store is understaffed, and it shows. I’ve lived in Fort McMurray for over 25 years, and I am 100% done with Rona. I wouldn’t go back there to buy a light bulb.

    Was in Rona yesterday. Skeleton staff, waited at least 15 min to talk to a staff member. Got to the till and one cashier working. Complained to an employee on the customer service and item I was to purchased, priced wrong. Another 10 min to get it corrected. Was told, owners of franchise are American and they are just interested in reaping profits, not customer service. Store falsely advertising they are Canadian. Remove the Canadian flags hanging over the tills.

    Do not buy any online item as if there is any damage, the local Rona not able to help as they don't have any.

    I honestly cannot wait for another competitor to come to Fort McMurray. There may be some nice people here but the overall customer service experience is horrible. Two weeks ago, ordered several hundred dollars of lumber and other supplies. My wife and I gathered the lumber ourselves (i like picking my lumber) and the screws were left behind. My bad i guess for not checking, even though it was checked off the invoice when leaving the yard. Here now to buy the same screws again, cannot find them, spoke to someone, they called for help in isle 41… waited 20 minutes. No one showed. Still here. Need major customer service/ business overhaul in this store. I have over 45 years of coming to places like this. This is consistently one of the worst shows of customer service. I came back to this review to add one star as there are a couple of genuinely good people here. I hope they end up at the competitor opening here soon as this store is majorly lacking in many areas.
