Waited almost an hour for our appointment now another half hour and the appointment still not done- they are way overbooked for one doctor. There had to have been about six other people waiting at the same time

Weirdest interaction i have ever had. Most unprofessional front desk that talked gossip about the doctor in front of me. Gave me a prescription that is so off than my normal prescription. Nobody around has them, so now I have to order them online. I've worn contacts my entire life....this is the hardest time I've ever had getting them. Trying to get them to change my prescription so I can get a different brand is impossible they have hung up on me and ignored my calls. DONT GO HERE.

The staff when at an appointment are great. The issue is they never answer the phone so you have to go out of your way to go in person for questions or to make appointments or changes

TERRIBLE!!!! I had appointments at the same time for both my husband and myself. The first visit, everyone was pleasant and helpful. However, once we got our new prescription glasses, BOTH of us were seeing WORSE than with our old prescription.
I scheduled re-exams for both of us (the staff was very gracious)... the optometrist told ME that I had "answered the questions differently than I had the first time" - NO, HE wrote the answers down wrong. During my husband's re-exam, he stopped part way through and left the room, then came back with a referral to an opthalmologist. When my husband asked why he was making the referral, he said that he had seen a "lesion" and needed to be seen by a specialist (no explanation as to why he had missed seeing this "lesion" on the first exam). This caused untold stress and worry for both of us, because his brother had been diagnosed with cancer after an eye exam showed "lesions."
When my husband got to the appointment with Dr. Blaydes, he very cheerfully said "Oh, yes, I get a lot of referrals from him!" and began the process of scheduling him for cataract surgery (for a very small cataract that he had been born with and told the optometrist at Carr about during the first exam). When my husband asked about the "lesion" and started questioning if the glasses prescription he just got was different than what Carr Eye Care wrote, he did a verbal dance around the subject and said that he couldn't speak poorly about his colleague. My husband said "so your first concern is for your colleague, NOT your patient?!?" When Dr. Blaydes said yes, my husband got up and left.
I searched the internet and finally scheduled an appointment for him at Anwar Eye Center in Moundsville (170 miles away from us). The doctor there said that he regularly performed cataract surgery for his patients, but he felt that it would be many years before he would recommend surgery for my husband. He found NO "lesion," and said that the prescription written at Carr was FOUR strengths higher than what my husband actually needed.
Take my advice.....
DON'T GO TO CARR EYE CARE!!!!
