- MHMissie HarrisonNov 14, 20255.0I cannot explain how much Dr. Elsner did to help me. I broke my leg and found out months later that I also had a fracture of the talus the was initially missed. I wasn’t able to walk for almost a year and when I was finally cleared to walk I still had excruciating pain. I worked 12 hour shifts in pain for the next year. It took me three surgeries, by a different physician to get me to that point. Dr. Elsner did my 4th surgery, our goal was some form of pain relief. I was at the point where amputation would have been better than continuing the way things were. So in March of 2025, I had a total ankle replacement. BEST decision ever! I was up and back to work in 4 months. I still have occasional pain, if I’m on it too much or too long. From a 10/10 to a 2/10 and that continues to get better every day. Dr. Elsner saved my leg and my sanity. Everyone I dealt with in the Foot and Ankle Clinic were pleasant, caring and helpful and I thank them all for helping me get my life back.
