I’ve been stressed all week about being seen by a provider and this staff truly went above and beyond for my care! From the reception, health assistant to the NP. Everyone accommodated to my situation and I was able to be seen and very well taken care of. This is very rare to see a clinic to work so fluid but thank you ladies for going above and beyond. ❤️ God bless you all

First I’d like to start by saying that I fully support the mission of PP and the services it provides, it’s an important resource in the community. I’d also like to mention I reached out a few different times in an attempt to speak to the healthcare manager at this clinic but never received a call back, and I never received a survey either. My experience here was really disheartening and I need to share it, since I was never given the opportunity to share it directly to their staff I’m leaving this review. My experience here left me feeling distraught, I even had a panic attack after I left. I dealt with a disorganized staff, spoke to a number of different people about the same issue and was told completely different things by each person, and I was completely unaware that I would be charged $200 for a CONSULTATION until I was about to walk out the door. I was booked to receive nexplanon, but I have an allergy to depo provera, so their doctor advised against it and refused to perform the service. I’m grateful that she was honest that it could be dangerous for me. My disappointment and frustration lies with the person who incorrectly told me I’d qualify for their family planning services and convinced me to pursue this route when I suspected I did not qualify (and I was correct). I even said to this person that I’d rather seek services elsewhere covered by my insurance, and she talked me into staying and try this family planning option even though I told her I was almost positive I wouldn’t qualify. My insurance incorrectly told me I’d be covered at this facility, and that’s not PP’s fault. While it was made clear that I’d have to pay for the nexplanon out of pocket if I didn’t qualify for their family planning insurance option, it was NOT clear at any point when booking the appointment, checking in, or in the room, that if my insurance was out of network & I didn’t qualify, that I’d have to pay $200 for a simple consultation. All they did for me was collect a urine sample, tell me they refuse to insert the nexplanon due to my depo provera allergy, and tell me my other options are an IUD or the Nuvaring- $200 out of pocket for this is absolutely absurd! To me, it seems antithetical to their stated goal of providing affordable, accessible and empathetic healthcare. I’m extremely frustrated and disheartened by this experience and it left me feeling awful. They made me feel like I did something wrong and I should’ve known I’d owe this amount, when at no point was that ever made clear to me. To the staff I worked with, I was clearly in distress during my appointment, especially during checkout. I wish you’d treated me with more empathy and kindness. And, it is completely unacceptable to keep the cost of the consultation out-of-pocket a secret until checkout. I get that there are situations where staff is new, insurance is confusing, etc. but there is no excuse for how my appointment was handled and I can’t in good conscience recommend the services of PP with how I felt leaving the building that day.

Long story here but to sum it up, 100% loved my experience. They are currently under construction, the appointment confirmation call the woman on the phone took her time to explain how get to the building and where to go once arrived. The amount of signs from parking lot to getting to the office was amazing, I knew exactly where I was going. Checking in was easy and fast, the receptionist was very nice and good at her job. I waited about 5 minutes before being called back. The nurse was so kind and handled the invasive questions with emotional intelligence. The doctor came in not even 5 minutes later, and was also very nice and caring. I was getting Nexplanon removed from my arm. I was very nervous because it hurt badly when it was inserted, and she reassured and made sure I was comfortable before getting started. She was gentle and it was relatively painless. She talked and let me blab about work to calm me down, asked if I wanted a doctors note for the day off (I wish!). Then I asked for resources and she promptly got the information needed and was on my way. Whole appointment was fast, efficient and calm. Great place! Would absolutely return and recommend anyone there.
