always helpful. they understand and work with u, not against u. staff and docs are great, fast appointments. when bc caused issues they found out why and switched it out immediately. they have never judged or made comments about lifestyles. I don't have to wait for call backs at bad times, they answer when u call. been using planned parenthood for almost 30 years. they have all the info.

I would highly recommend not visiting this location. The short of it: I was there for 4 hours, inexperienced staff using the wrong IUD, dirty rooms, cervix was "nicked", and pap test not catching abnormal cells. For background, I went to this location +13ish years ago for my first IUD placement and everything went fine. Since then I've had two others (placed at a different doctor office). My insurance changed so I went back to the Delavan location and what should have been maximum of an hour visit turned into 4 hours. Yes, FOUR HOURS. I called my insurance ahead of time and they confirmed I was okay to go to this location. I get to my appointment before my time and this began the first 3 hours. The receptionist and another worker couldn't verify my insurance would cover the IUD. I explained I had called my insurance a week before and they do, but they had to get someone at PP headquarters (or whoever does the insurance coverage). I called my insurance again and they confirmed. An hour goes by and I call my insurance again, they email me a confirmation that my insurance will cover my IUD and visit. It still took them 3 hours to hear back from their insurance department person. Finally I get into the room with the young woman who would be putting in my IUD. I told her I never had kids and one doctor had trouble getting my second IUD in and had to call a senior doctor to place it. The removal of my old IUD went fine. For the next hour she tried to insert my new IUD. And yes you read that right. One hour of trying to get a 7 year IUD placed. I was so tired from being there all day, and didn't want to take off another day to come back, that I tried to stay as long as I could so she could place it. In the end I had to say I couldn't take it and left without an IUD. Turns out the IUD she was trying to place isn't for women who have never had children. I was shown by my new obgyn and the size difference is almost twice as big and the PP doctor should have known better and never given that as a option. I hate to sound like someone who gets "triggered", but the experience I had at PP was seriously traumatizing to the point I feel nauseous going to the doctor now. I've never had such a poor experience and to top it off, their pap test didn't catch the abnormal cells that my new obgyn tested for 8 days after I went to PP. Also, I guess the doctor at PP had "nicked" me while taking out my old IUD or putting in my new one. As for the location, the room I was in was very dirty and the wall had water damage and I'm just assuming there's mold growing behind the walls. I was in the very last room to the left and it was probably the dirtiest doctors office I've ever been to. I just want to warn women who may go here so they can look into other options. I should have left when I saw how dirty the location seemed to be. I should have left after the first hour of the receptionist not being able to verify my insurance. I should have left as soon as the doctor couldn't get my new IUD in. I had multiple signs and didn't listen, so if you get bad vibes here, please listen and leave, or don't go in the first place.
