Visit the Planned Parenthood health center in Walla Walla, WA for emergency contraception (morning after pill), abortion, pregnancy testing, STD treatment, birth control, and sexual and reproductive health care.
Got my IUD replaced successfully. Very helpful for services you might have in a bit of a medical blind spot, such as prescribing narcan when it might be needed.

If you have to go here for hormone replacement therapy or trans health services, get every single piece of paper that you can from them - every lab order and result, every visit write-up, every care plan, every bill. Make sure they are treating you appropriately!!! My lab results were infrequently and incompletely posted on the patient portal, so I took my physician's word on how things were going. I found out after my first two labs, prior to even changing my dosage, my physician stopped doing labs for my hormones and began treating me (without telling me of a change in my care plan and as I was paying out of pocket) for a condition I did not have nor needed them specifically to care for - my insurance-covered PCP could've handled it perfectly. It took needing to outsource a lab order for me to find this out. When I questioned why my hormones weren't being checked at all (a necessity for effective hormone replacement therapy,) I was told it's not standard and dehumanizes patients. When I informed them that as a trans patient on HRT it was actually necessary to monitor my hormones, I was written off completely. I attempted to file a complaint several times with the clinic itself and the regional PP group (PPGWNI), and it would not be heard.
It's nice to have an informed consent option, especially because the only other option in town is blocked by the demand of a therapy letter, and everyone was respectful of my name, pronouns, and identity. However, do not depend on them to communicate effectively about nor fully understand trans healthcare. It sucks to have to be "that patient," but be pushy about transparency - get every paper you can from them - and be ready to advocate for your care plan. If you aren't comfortable with that, talk with me or other community members about what alternative routes you might be able to take!
