My experience at Safeway pharmacies has been hit or miss but I recently started filling at the Main Street location and have had a good experience so far. The staff at this location are always warm and friendly (especially Husam) and I haven't yet felt like I need to chase down my scripts or refills. I've also asked the pharmacists for advice on a couple of OTCs and they've been great! Edited to fix spelling :)

Great pharmacy and pharmacy staff. I appreciate how prompt and on top of it they are. They always answer the phone and are very hospitable towards me. I know they get busy but I never feel stress from that. I wanted to leave a review because it is much deserved.

9/5/25 6:30 pm ... The lady monitoring the self check out area was busy harassing customers that didnt want her help and ignoring customers trying to get her attention. Before my interaction with her, I heard her say to a man also using the self check out "if you are not sure if you can scan all your items, you should just go to a checker line." I thought that was a bit harsh, the poor guy seemed embarrassed and could he have known what would and would not scan? Little did I know, her unwanted attention would turn on me next... Half way through my cart, the guy next to me needed help and flagged self check out lady over. Instead of helping him, she turned to me and said I had "way more" than 15 items and would have to move to a checker line. In fairness, I did have more than 15. But we're talking 25 items, here, not 50. I explained my logic to her: considering that there were sparce checker lines open, their lines were long with big carts filled up, and there was no one waiting in line at self check out - I did not feel like I was doing anyone a disservice using the self check out. She did not care. I pointed out that there was still no one waiting in line at self check out. She said I had to unbag my groceries and move to a checker line. I told her that in the time she spent talking to me, I could have finished and paid already. She got louder and cited store policy. I told her that it did not seem to be in anyone's best interest to make me unbag my items and go wait in another line, and that she really seemed to enjoy scolding me and making me move. Well, she didn't like that. Truth hurts sometimes. She was so loud that the whole section was staring at us, and so rude and unreasonable that I just walked out. I feel bad in that I hope some nice kid didn't have to unbag and reshelve my items. But after the very loud, public shaming treatment for something so trivial - I just wanted to get out of there and away from the militant self check out lady. If the 15 items requirement is going to be so strict that violations result in public shaming, more checker lines should be open. Pretty crummy experience, don't think I'll be going back.
