This is for the pharmacy only. I was given the run around with two medications for two weeks. One of the pharmacy techs was very inhospitable, and she has glasses on and seems like the world owes her something. I called my doctor after two weeks of inaction and excuses, and the pharmacist said the doctor had canceled the order. Good thing I had the doctor right there, and he said he had no idea what the hell the pharmacist was talking about, and to submit proof of this cancellation. The pharmacist got defensive, then said he couldn't do anything with the order since it had been cancelled. My doctor then said, I did not ask that, I asked for proof that it was cancelled. The pharmacist responded again, saying he couldn't fill the order because it had been cancelled, like he was stuck in a feedback loop. The doctor eventually told me, while on the phone with the pharmacist, that they were giving me the runaround and that I should find a different pharmacy, which I did! Do not use this pharmacy, Safeway sucks!!!! You'll die before you get your meds.

2 months in a row my grandson has gone close to a week without his adhd meds. This last time the Dr sent it in on Tues morning and we did not get it until Saturday evening and even then we had to wait while they filled it because it still wasn't ready. They are constantly behind. I feel there is not enough pharmacist at the location I go to. Usually only one actual pharmacist. And usually long waits in line. The employees that they do have are great.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. If they are short staffed and it takes longer, it's Safeway's fault and not the pharmacy sraff's.

Good news and bad news. The pharmacists are good. They always are willing to explain anything to you. Most of the time they can fill my prescriptions quickly. The one time I had a substitute they explained why and it was actually great. The downside are the people who run the register and ring you up. There are a lot of problems there. They range from minor to significant. A major issue was one of my prescriptions cost $10 with insurance. Recently, I got charged $75 per month and thought that was wrong so I asked them to check that. They said it was right. After 2 months I asked a different person to check and they said the other person forgot to put in a code that reduced it. They had been doing that for a long time. They did not even offer me an apology for charging two months at $150 instead of $20. Minor things include not being able to find the drug. Eventually they asked the pharmacist who found it immediately. I could not understand the most recent employee as she was chewing gum so loudly I could not make out what she was saying. She was also the one who got on her phone right after ringing me up although there was a line. Finally, like another reviewer I saw four people working but only one ringing up customers even the line was extremely long.

There is one reason and one reason only that I get my prescriptions at this store...it is convenient to where I live. I find the pharmacy staff to be totally void of any personality or helpfulness. I stopped by today - Tuesday, October 29 - between 11:15am and noon to pick up one item. When I arrived, there were 2 people ahead of me and one staff helping customers. I waited an inordinate amount of time for her to finish with the person ahead of me and then one other person who appeared to walk up to the counter. While waiting, there were 2 pharmacists behind the counter and NEITHER of them did anything to help. I attempted to get the woman pharmacist's attention (she pretty much ignored me). When she finally looked at me, I asked her if she could help. Caught off guard that someone would expect her to help, she muttered she'd be there "in a sec". She never helped that I could see. She remained behind her computer screen and made sure she didn't make eye contact with anyone. When I finished, there were 7 people in the line behind me. I saw the female pharmacist leaving the store as I finished checking out...gotta be sure she had that break...you know, cause she worked so hard to avoid helping out!! I see that I am not the only person to have experienced this.
