I recently moved my wife to Brookdale. Unfortunately I could no longer care for her. The staff was able to walk me through the steps for care for her. It has been so difficult to make this decision as she has been my beautiful bride for over 55 years.
The sales manager, Jessica and her side kick Charles have been so helpful. They keep me updated on everything going on with her care and how she is doing throughout the days when I can’t be there to visit.
Jessica even sends me photos showing how my wife is doing.
I would recommend Brookdale to anyone who is hesitant to move their loved one. This has not been easy on me, but they have helped me understand now that I too needed to take care of me.
I am very happy with my decision.

Such a great place to be! I have never been happier to have my grandpa somewhere I know he will be cared for. The staff is absolutely amazing! The sales manager Jesse was over the top amazing! The stress of moving grandpa and feeling like I am uprooting him from his family, she was able to reassure me and show me how my pops will be cared for. It’s been a little over a week and he is a completely different guy! He is going out, listening to music, eating meals again and is actually showering!!! The staff got my old man to shower! If you know how hard it can be to get your loved one to shower who has dementia, you will understand where I’m coming from.
Thank you again to all the staff. I will definitely be recommending you along the way. ❤️

Do not bring your loved one here. The only thing they keep up well is appearances. They prioritize profits over people. They do not properly staff- especially in the evenings and the residents suffer. My family visits several times a week and there are always residents with wet clothing overdue for care/asking for food and water/asking for help and we can’t find staff.
My grandmother has been hospitalized due to neglect, weight loss and dehydration. They can’t keep staff, nurses, med techs or even directors. The people who care do not stick around and the people who do are the ones who shouldn’t have ever been there.
I reported a care staff for calling me something that I most definitely am not through my grandma’s camera and today I questioned why after repeatedly asserting he was not to work around or with my grandma, was told “He is one of our best staff and one of the only people who can work unassisted with your grandma.” 1. Their staffing is not our problem. He needs to be fired. 2. They raised our bill from 11k to 17k+ when she was said to be a two-person-assist and when you aren’t changing her for 12 hours that’s about $600 per changing. Hire more staff. 3. If we say no, the answer is no- That is the law.
If you put your family member here assert your right to monitor them. I knew the care was bad, but I didn’t know how extremely bad it was until there was a camera. She is rarely changed, rarely offered water and water that is there sits for days unchanged, they cover the camera so I can’t see how they care for her and it is only supposed to be covered for Intimate care- not before and not after.
Each individual care staff does not go out of their way to abuse or neglect a resident, but they all think someone else is doing it and do not go out of their way to make sure it is done which means people are being neglected. They also go out of their way to make sure family members do not know what is going on. They don’t want to do any charting to show when someone is changed or when somebody was offered water- they just assumed somebody else did it And that’s how people end up in the hospital or if they don’t have a family member, to be there every couple days- worse.
Just weeks ago, we were dealing with calorie deficit, dehydration, and infection all due to neglect. My grandmother was a 2xl when she moved in there and two years later she is barely 80lbs. They will tell you things like “That’s how dementia goes”. “She just doesn’t have an appetite” but when I feed her, she can eat two full plates and more. They will tell you things like “She just doesn’t want to drink- we can’t force her” But when I give her water, she can desperately drink cup after cup in minutes . It isn’t a problem with her wanting to; it’s a problem with staff wanting to/taking time to/caring. They gas-light me when you say something is wrong and when she is taken to the hospital I have never been wrong.
STAY FAR AWAY. I wish my grandma was never here. She is a really, truly good person and not anyone’s loves one belongs here. Look up Brookdale. This Brookdale do your research. We trusted Brookdale and we never should have.

If you love your people don’t put them here
If you already did move them
If you can’t move them drop in often and ask questions

What a beautiful community! The staff here is fantastic. So much love and dedication from each and every one of them. Ann the Executive Director is very knowledgeable of folks with Alzheimer's/ Dementia. Was able to provide a lot of information to family. Charles, the Health and Wellness Director has great bedside manner and so personable with residents. Makes each day for these residents easier! The cleanliness of the building, you can smell it the second you walk through the door. It smells clean & looks it!
