  I cannot say enough positive things about Dr White and his clinic. My daughter was on the island for the summer (across the country from where we live) and was having some vision issues. Dr White made many accommodations for her to come in and genuinely cared about her and her well being. I really appreciate the time and availability they gave my daughter and their kindness toward her as a visitor from out of town. I highly recommend Dr White and the San Juan Vision Source.

  We feel it is important to inform you of the terrible customer service we received from San Juan Vision Source staff. Making a long story short on April 23, Mike got his new, first time ever, pair of permanent glasses. For some reason, he was sold a pair with plastic safety shield on the side. He is 82 years old and they were unnecessary. Called twice on April 23 to get shields taken off and called again on April 24 to get shields taken off. No answer either day and no return call. So drove into their office at the end of the day on the 24th and Dr. White removed the safety shields. Just wondering, have any of you ever seen anyone wearing them permanently, especially an elder, senior citizen? Why was he even sold those? Sent a message on April 25 thanking them for their good service of removing the side shields and asking them please to call regarding Mike not happy with the bifocal glasses and wanting to order new lenses with transgression lens. Also wanted to order prescription sunglasses. No callback. Called several times the week of April 28. I understand they were gone for a conference, but several staff were still working the office and still no callback. Called again May 1 asking please for someone to call for appointment to get new lenses in new glasses and to order prescription sunglasses. Still no callback. I believe it was May 2 called again and left a frustrating message asking if the office was still open and was anybody working. ???Asked them if they ever returned any calls. It was extremely frustrating, but not rude at all. still no callback. This is 9 days that I have been calling almost every day and still not receiving a call back. Finally the evening of May 5 Mike calls Dr White directly explains we have been calling for over a week with no callback, and Dr White said he would have someone call us on May 6 to make an appointment. Late in the afternoon on May 6 we received a call from Dr. White stating that because of our frequent phone calls to their office and Mike’s wife’s abusive call to their staff that they would no longer have us as patients. What?! So they did receive all our calls and never called us back! Why?! Extremely rude and unprofessional and the worst customer service to not call anybody back for over a week and a half after they have purchased a new product from you. Then Dr. White calls and cancels us. What!? We were just wanting follow-up service on a product you sold us and wanting to order more. We just couldn’t believe that he canceled us. It’s seriously should have been the other way around, but since we had already purchased the glasses, we needed to finish that transaction so he could be satisfied with his new glasses. Nope. Cancelled! Shame on you Dr White for not expecting your staff to give more personal customer service to the people of this small community. Then, to receive a call from Dr. White that he no longer wants us as patients was absolutely unbelievable. we honestly thought he was calling to say, “Hey come on in and let’s order you some new lenses for your new glasses you just bought from us and make those correct. And we’d be happy to order you some prescription sunglasses.” Nope! Cancelled for expecting at least one call back in 14 days! lol. Many of you know me on all of the islands as I have been working with all of you for over 40 years. I have had exams and treatment from Dr. Crain at Friday Harbor Eye Clinic for years. We should have had Mike go there apparently. Julie highly recommends Dr. Crain. His father had the business for years before him. She also was a patient of his father. They give excellent customer service to all of us locals and even strangers. Give them a try. I am sure you will be happy. If anything good comes out of all of this it would be that Dr White turns his answering machine off and actually has his staff start answering their calls. We wish you and your staff the best Dr. White and hope you can achieve timely personal customer service that is so greatly appreciated within all of the San Juan Islands.

  Wow, I have know Dr White for many years. He's the type of doctor who goes above and beyond what's expected with his personal care and service. He's certainly amazing and what a wonderful thoughtful doctor that he is for the San Juan Islands. His staff is also very efficient, and kind and caring too. This organization knows what customer service and satisfaction is all about. Highly recommend this place for anything to do with your eyes.!!!

  I will never know why Chris White was so mean to me. He charged me hundreds of dollars for something I told him I did not want, gave me poor service and finally sent me an email telling me never to come near his office again! I really believe the man is a bit unhinged. ,
