  Everyone was really awesome and made me feel very supported and calm. I was very anxious about getting my IUD removed but it went really smooth. Nurse Practioner Izzy was so kind and explained everything to me that they were doing, they were awesome. Thank you very much to everyone for making if a calm experience. Definitely recommend.

  I went to this location to get an iud. I had decided I wanted one. The nurse who asked me all of the intake questions and such was great. She listened, explained and generally made me feel better. She even offered to sit in while I got it to hold my hand. I didn’t exactly feel comfortable with that, but I wish I had asked her to stay now. I belive her name was Meryl. We discussed the lidocaine injection and I had said I wasn’t sure, but she offered to get it ready incase I decided I wanted it. Now the actual lady who inserted my iud. When discussing the plan she was kind enough, but she went over opened the drawer with the speculums, picked one up with her ungloved hands, and put the lubricant on it. This made me violently uncomfortable. Why would you touch something that is supposed to be sterile and needs to go inside of me with your bare hands? I should have left or said something but I was so scared already. Then she did pelvic exams and inserted the same speculum. The hole time I was just wondering about the gloves and if she had them on for the next part. I think she did, but I couldn’t help but overthink. She told me the next part may pinch, little did I know she was doing the lidocaine injection. She did not actually tell me this. Although I am glad we did it, I again felt violated because I hadn’t actually said yes to this step yet. Everyone was nice, but those things made me feel really uncomfortable. I came to planned parenthood for an iud because other places had very long wait times, and I needed to get back on birth control. I think in the future I will trust my care with another establishment or at least location.

  Planned Parenthood in Williston/ Burlington Vermont has saved another womans life...Mine! They caught my cervical cancer caused by HPV16 virus just in time before it fully spread. Planned Parenthood is the best for quality inclusive human reproductive health. I feel safe, well cared for, fully seen and heard, respected, plus they offered me counseling for my upcoming hysterectomy. Everything from mental health and how I feel about losing my female parts to the practical of helping find childcare, transportation and food while I recover from surgery. This is what AMAZING TOTAL Reproductive HEALTHCARE looks like. A prior visit to a 'fancy' expensive OBgyn specialist who said the recommended pap smear was every 5years and I probably didnt need one. When I told him I had HPV and asked about the vaccine in order to prevent cancer, he said I was one year too old from the age 'range' to receive the vaccine sooo..hope for the best I guess. I paid over $300 cash for the talk only visit. No labs no exam just a pregnancy test even though I have an IUD. I would have been in big trouble at 48yo if I stayed with that doctor. Luckily, I didnt. I listened to my intution and knew something in my body was off. My loving heart, thankful soul, and donations go to Planned Parenthood of New England! They are a great and much needed service for full reproductive human health. They are not just abortions. They save lives everyday with preventive care!! Please encourage ladies age 12-47 to get vaccinated. Everyone has the HPV virus. Some strands go away and some turn to cancer. Luck of the draw. Yet, the cancer strand is preventable with a vaccine. Planned Parenthood is Pro-active and for living life. My life!!

  Planned Parenthood fulfilled my expectations in all of the right ways! I had been struggling with other doctor's offices giving me the run around about an IUD. When I came here they listened to all of my questions and told me every step of the procedure before it happened. 10/10 the kindest and most helpful office staff I have ever met. From now on, I won't go anywhere else!
