The decision to move her into a memory care facility was very difficult, but with every conversation I had with Brookdale Roanoke, it became very clear that this was the place for her. Quality of care and the quality of the staff is above the bar! I am so grateful for each and every one who have helped make the transition as smooth as possible. My Aunt misses her home, but loves being at Brookdale; she loves the staff and enjoys all the activities they provide. It is home away from home!

- NSNancy ScharfMar 25, 20195.0My sweet mother-in-law lived at Brookdale for over 3 years until she passed away this December 2018. The Brookdale staff was always kind and caring to her and to me. The management team was always available to discuss any worries or concerns I had. They truly loved and cared for my mother-in-law like she was their grandmother. Another plus was the size of the facility. It is smaller and I think folks there get more personalized attention. It was the BEST memory care facility that we ever dealt with.

Brookdale is great at making a pretty picture... don't get fooled like I did. They blame everything on the disease and never seem to be accountable for anything. I could list numerous things so very wrong here, and NO it's not the same everywhere. We are now paying half the money, not as classy looking place, but I've seen better care in a week than I did in 6 months at Brookdale. $$
