- LCLillian ChristianDec 4, 20251.0every single person i spoke to beside my practitioner was extremely kind and helpful. the practitioner however made me sob in the car afterwards since she decided we’d be using my appointment time to argue instead of being able to explain her reasoning or ask questions about my symptoms. she even seemingly insulted another practitioner i’m seeing because they prescribed me medication after finding blood in my urine paired with UTI symptoms. my practitioner offered no medication suggestions, no plan for further testing, and no suggestions for at home pain management. she didn’t seem to like what i’m doing to manage my symptoms at home and that’s absolutely fine. give me a suggestion instead? a different medication? refer me? let’s do testing? nope, she offered absolutely none of the above. this is a niche issue but if you deal with any bladder issues besides a run of the mill UTI do not waste your money. i did not expect planned parenthood staff to take my medical needs less seriously than an urgent care provider, nor did i expect to walk away feeling so judged after explaining an extremely personal health issue. if i wanted to be condemned and argued with like i was your friend or family member i would have not spent near $100 for your ‘medical advice’. this appointment is exactly why women go untreated, rely on homeopathic medicine, or decide to source medications themselves. i hope the practitioner i saw today see’s this and doesn’t decide to embarrass another woman who’s practically bed bound from their pain. genuinely why couldn’t you have worked with me? i would have tried any test or medication you suggested. i needed help and you seemingly just needed to let off steam.
