Rudely she replied ”I’m not a dentist so I can’t diagnosis you or guarantee that you will be seen” History: I'm in Pain. I had left a message a few days earlier about the tooth and so I'm in pain. Her comment was Rude. Even if you are not in pain. Dr. I got your letter. You don't have to worry Our Family will not come back. Even tho Your receptionist was rude to me, I feel like you want me to apologize to all of you. I apologize that I was in tooth pain. Without talking to me, you gave up, cancelled us. As a U.S. Navy Corpsman, I never had the luxury of Cancelling people because the going got rough. Working in a Hospital in P.T. I've had Patients call me every cuss word you can think of, Punch me, kick me, and do you think I could send them a letter? No, I could not punch back because I would be fired. I had to stay with them. I had to keep going back and get them out of bed. Doctors orders. Today: I think what I learned is that Comfort is what Medicine is today. If your staff gets offended at the slightest comment, cancel them, ban them. Just a reminder: I was in tooth pain. I was in Pain. I asked when I could be seen. I did not use expletives. I was not rude to her but That didn't matter and does not matter at your office. She was rude. You let her get away with it. Utah Medicine: It is not always about you.
