I booked an eye exam here because it’s very close to my house, and I was interested in scheduling a contact lens exam as well. This would have been my first time coming here. While filling out the paperwork, I read a form stating that the contact lens fitting would cost $75+. I brought this up to the receptionist because, with my insurance, my exam copay plus contact lens fitting should only be $50 since I would fall under the standard contact lens fit. However, I was told that because I am a new patient, I would automatically be considered a premium fit since they do not yet know what type of contacts I will need. I used to be a certified optometric technician and worked closely with both vision and medical insurance, so this immediately seemed strange to me. Whether you are a new or established patient should not determine whether you are billed for a standard or premium contact lens fitting if the office is in-network with your insurance. The only time pricing differences like that would typically apply is for self pay patients. I wanted to write this review to bring awareness to the situation because many people may not fully understand how their vision insurance works and could easily be misled. To double check, I even called another optometrist office, and they confirmed that what I stated was correct. They were also surprised by what I had been told and even asked for the name of the establishment. I’m sure the doctor and staff here may be a great team, and this could have simply been a misunderstanding on the receptionist’s part. However, this is the type of mistake that should absolutely be corrected to avoid confusion and potential overcharging for future patients.

They don't care about working people. So you will have to take PTO for a simple eye exam. No weekend appointments and their latest appt is at 4:30pm. The receptionist is rude and impatient. Since she is the representation of the practice, you can expect the rest of the staff to be the same.
