  I have had very poor experiences with harbor Eyecare in 2023 i had a serious fall at work wher the impact of the fall damaged my optic nerve I have an optic neurologist I work with but was also sent to a woman named Amy Pruszenski she seemed like a great Dr making me feel good letting me know she’s going to work with me and help me thru my injury only to never make another appointment with me ….probably 6mo to a yr after that I schedualed another appointment with her where she told me I must have gotten lost in the system and she was going to help me my follow up from that appointment was rescheduled by her office and then again I was just never seen again by her…another yr or so goes by and I need an appointment for a visual acuity test and an appointment was made with harbor Eyecare where they spent about an hr doing different kinds of testing on me just for the Dr to come in at the end telling me that they can’t finish the appointment unless I have cash to cover it which I didn’t because Workmans comp was covering it…him and a lady from billing came in saying that the adjustor wasn’t answering the phone so I had to pay out of pocket …the Workmans comp I have is a huge company it wouldn’t have taken much to find another # to call to check on this …I can’t help but think that this has something to do with the fact that AmyPruszenski owns harbor Eyecare. If u buy a pair of glasses from there you’ll pay on average a 2-300$ mark up… further showing that these people car WAY more about profits than they do about people…I have been thinking about leaving this review for awhile but after my horrible experience today I have no choice but to.i wouldn’t recommend harbor Eyecare to ANYONE because as they’ve shown me time after time they don’t care about people

  I understand healthcare costs money but I am maxed out on my deductible & OOP max and still ended up paying for a refraction that I did not receive. I wish they had looked at my medical history when I inquired about a medical appointment. I liked the person that helped me and felt that she did a good job evaluating my eyes. However, they didn't give me a fresh prism refraction and insisted that I need additional appointments with Dr. Nick instead where I will likely continue to pay. I felt that it was an unfair expense for the refraction I did not receive since they already had BVD and prism glasses recorded in their system about me from previous visits. I felt like they were a bit frustrated with me for asking clarifying questions regarding the costs which made me uncomfortable.
