  I regret to say that Home Instead staff are not very good at following up, and their online care portal is not reliable or functional. I cannot leave TO DO requests and in order to get some feedback to the posts or communication that I can add, I am forced to call in to the office. In addition, when it comes to the care of my father, caretaker changes have been made without any notification ahead of time. This confuses my father and does not make it easy for him to build trust with the caregivers who have been assigned working with him. Finally, the staff tend to be on their phones while they are there to give care to my father. This is a NO-NO! What if something unfortunate were to happen while they are busy on their phones? Thus far, I cannot recommend this service in the Quincy, IL area.

  The wonderful caregivers at Home Instead cared for my mom, who lives 900 miles away, for nearly a decade. Mom's health and ability changed over time, and Home Instead kept me informed of her status every step of the way. They were always thoughtful in respecting her wishes, suggesting constructive ways they could assist her while maintaining her dignity and safety. Mom would have not been able to stay in her home for as long as she did, without each of these caring, compassionate, and observant individuals. We are truly grateful for our experience with Home Instead and the peace of mind they gave to our family over the years.

  After spinal surgery, I needed help at my home for one month. Home Instead provided me with 2 wonderful caregivers who were kind, supportive, understanding, and compassionate. Having no family close by, Home Instead was able to come to my aid very quickly. I am so grateful for the professional care they were able to give me. I don't know what I would have done without them.

  My grandmothers team, which consists of Danielle, Faith and Emily, have been nothing short of amazing. They have become apart of our family and have shown such empathy and love for my grandmother as if she was their own. Tiffany the Team Leader, is always keeping me in the loop and checking in on everything, almost daily. I am so lucky that I found Home Instead to care for my grandmother during the day while I am in school. I can never thank them enough for all of their kindness and I truly appreciate each and every one of them!
