The Regenexx process has been nothing short of amazing. The pre-treatment MRI (performed at an independent facility) indicated that my knee was far worse than the physical symptoms I was experiencing. The treatment process was exactly as Dr. Ghattas explained, and the recovery time was days vs the weeks it took to recover after my knee surgery 14 years ago. Now three months post procedure and my knee feels amazing. There is nothing better than to allow your body to heal itself without surgical intervention or reliance on pain medicines or other repetitive non-healing interventions.

I miraculously got an emergency appointment with Dr. James yesterday and I am more than satisfied. It’s the first time I’ve been out of this much pain in years without meds. I look forward to continuing treatment with Dr. James. He was thorough during his exam and explained all the issues I was having from my neck injury. He gave me a plan for prp as well as ,gave me injections before leaving the office. He gave me hope that I won’t need to have a fusion of my neck. Thank God !

I had a torn ligament in my elbow. Went for PRP injections. Was back to 100% within a couple months. Excellent experience with Dr. Ghattas.

Dr. Ghattas was terrific today. He spent a good amount of time examining me and explaining the regenerative process which I intend to have done next month. More to come after the procedure.
Frequently Asked Questions About Palm Beach Regenerative Sport and Spine
Is a nonsurgical procedure using Regenexx lab processes right for me?
To determine if a nonsurgical procedure is appropriate for your condition, we recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our licensed Regenexx network physicians. During this appointment, the doctor will assess your condition or injury, discuss your eligibility for nonsurgical treatment, and answer any questions you may have about the process.
Can more than one body area be treated at the same time?
The ability to treat multiple body areas simultaneously depends on various factors. These include the physician's assessment and recommendation, the quantity of blood or bone marrow required for concentration to treat multiple injury sites, and the patient's overall comfort level. Each case is evaluated individually to determine if treating multiple areas in one session is feasible.
What is Laser Therapy?
Laser therapy is a non-invasive medical treatment that uses specific light wavelengths to address painful and debilitating conditions. The goal of this approach is to reduce discomfort and enhance function in affected body areas.
What is a procedure using Regenexx injectates?
Regenexx injectate procedures are designed to treat common orthopedic conditions and help patients avoid surgery. A physician from our licensed Regenexx network uses image guidance to inject customized concentrations of the patient's own cells, derived from either blood or bone marrow concentrate, into the specific area(s) of injury.
Will my body be fully restored after a procedure using Regenexx lab processing?
While we can provide you with procedure results data and assess your specific candidacy, it's important to note that no medical procedure can guarantee a complete restoration of your body to its pre-injury state. Like all medical interventions, procedures using Regenexx injectates have both success and failure rates. You can review patient-reported data on pain reduction and joint function improvement for up to six years post-procedure by exploring our patient results.
Are procedures using Regenexx injectates safe?
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS and OHRP) guidelines for complications reporting, any complications to date have been categorized as mild to moderate and are rare. Mild complications require no medical treatment, such as temporary swelling. Moderate complications require treatment, such as opting for an alternative treatment if the Regenexx procedure was unsuccessful. We have published a comprehensive safety and complications tracking study on bone marrow concentrate, which contains adult stem cells. This study did not reveal any serious procedure-related complications or any patients developing cancer related to bone marrow concentrate use. You can review our safety paper for more details.
Is a procedure using Regenexx lab processes painful?
Regenexx SCP and PL injectate procedures begin with a standard blood draw. The Regenexx SD injectate procedure, which uses bone marrow concentrate, requires a bone marrow aspirate with local anesthetic. This process is significantly less invasive than a bone marrow biopsy. Some patients may receive an oral sedative to help reduce anxiety and relax muscles before the bone marrow draw. All procedures are performed with patient comfort in mind, using local anesthesia to numb the treatment area(s). Post-procedure, the joint and injection site(s) may feel sore. Your physician may prescribe pain medication or recommend acetaminophen. You'll be advised to keep the joint as still as possible for 30-60 minutes after the procedure and limit activity on the joint for the first day. Your doctor may also suggest using a brace, wrap, or walking boot to support the treated area.
How soon after a nonsurgical procedure using Regenexx lab processing can I resume normal activities?
Typically, patients can return to normal daily activities as tolerated. Most individuals resume light activities after 5 to 7 days and return to sports at 6 to 8 weeks. Further improvement may continue over several months. Your physician will provide specific guidance on post-procedure activities based on your particular condition or injury and the recommended treatment.
What is the difference between procedures using Regenexx SCP injectate and Regenexx SD injectate?
A procedure using Regenexx SCP injectate is blood-based. SCP stands for 'Super Concentrated Platelets' and is a type of highly-concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) procedure. In contrast, a procedure using Regenexx SD injectate is based on bone marrow concentrate (BMC), which contains the patient's own stem cells. SD stands for 'Same Day,' as the cells are harvested, highly concentrated, and reinjected on the same day.
How do "stem cell therapy" or other "stem cell procedures" compare to a procedure that uses Regenexx SD injectate?
Regenexx does not refer to procedures using Regenexx SD injectate as 'stem cell procedures.' This term has unfortunately been appropriated by sellers of products manufactured from birth tissue (typically amniotic fluid or membrane), which are bottled, labeled as 'stem cells,' and shipped nationwide. A procedure using Regenexx SD injectate is a bone marrow concentrate (BMC) based procedure that contains the patient's own stem cells. This procedure utilizes customized concentrations of the patient's own cells for treatment, tailored to their specific condition or injury needs.
What types of conditions can Palm Beach Regenerative Sport and Spine treat nonsurgically?
They offer nonsurgical treatment options for elbows, feet and ankles, hands and wrists, hips, knees, shoulders, and the spine using Regenexx lab processes.
Is it possible to treat more than one body area in the same session at this clinic?
Treating multiple body areas simultaneously depends on the physician's evaluation, the amount of blood or bone marrow needed, and the patient's comfort level. Each case is assessed individually.
What is MLS laser therapy offered at Palm Beach Regenerative Sport and Spine?
