- APAllison Parks4 days ago2.0My review would have prompted more stars had there been better communication. My 14 year old was referred to Dr. Boyd by her normal dentist due to her severe anxiety. Dr. Boyd offers an oral cocktail of meds to assist with anxiety filled patients. They called to schedule my appointment, we went to such appointment and had a very pleasant conversation. I spoke with the doctor regarding treatment and even spoke regarding insurance. Once I got to the front desk I was informed of a fee break down. At which point I noticed a huge lack of insurance coverage. Thus prompting me to realize the dentist was out of network. Not one time during any phone call, or the actual visit was this brough to my attention. I pay for healthcare for my children which reduces the ability to pay $1,200 for 3 cavities where my insurance only covers $200. This might not be a big deal to their current patient demographic, but this is not the case for me. The initial receptionist was extremely apologetic, but the woman sitting next to her was significantly annoyed by me. At this point, I was also charged for a consultation. Not on time during the initial conversation for scheduling was ANY of this information provided. I would never have even wasted my time, or his for that matter. Better communication with clear understanding would reduce pissed off customers. Provide the information so the person can make an informed decision. Customer service is vital!

I am so thankful for the compassionate, exceptional care Dr. Boyd, his hygienist Jill, and the whole team provided during our visit. They ensured my daughter’s nerves were at ease and made the entire experience fun and enjoyable for her. I highly recommend this practice.
