Juan was really great he helped me as soon as I entered the store and guided me through the entire process and even went through the stress of helping me find the perfect frames lol. Thank you Juan!! And thank you Stanton Optical. I can finally see. Oh and whoever’s on aux deserves a raise and I’m pretty sure it’s all of them. * I had to edit my review and take a star but only because I paid way more than I was expecting to pay in total BUT Juan hooked it up w a payment plan so I guess it’s fine.

The absolute worst A waste of time a waste of money don’t go here. I should have known that they were part of Eye lab. They don’t even have a real doctor. It’s all through an online process. The prescription is completely off. I can’t even see my prescription has always been higher than what they’re telling me. She tried to give me an excuse that it was probably because of the bifocals again I’ve had contacts all my life. My prescription has always been higher when I told her that I was told I could come back if I could not see correctly within 30 days she stated we can give you a new exam but not today. It’s gonna take too long. Please go get your glasses and come back. I explained to her that I need this done as soon as possible. I would like an exam now because I’m going out of town in two weeks. I need to have the correct prescription. Basically she kept giving me the runaround and avoided being able to give me an exam and the correct prescription don’t waste your money and don’t waste your time. I paid $400 out-of-pocket for something that I cannot even use. I can’t see only up close. Everything else is extremely blurry. That is a hazard for me as I use them while I’m driving.

I have no idea how the rating here is so high, but I had almost the same experience as every 1 star review. I NEED glasses to function and had an emergency, and they could fit me in. No doctor on site, explicitly asked if it was really the advertised price, assured yes, it always is. Did the teledoc eye appointment (?!) And came out to a price that was about $600 AFTER all their little discounts, because my eyes were so bad. Apparently the advertised price is only for people with good vision. I eventually got it down into the 200s and honestly, these are the worst glasses I've ever had. Both pairs only made it a few months each. I can't even drive in them. The worst part was, this was mostly people buying glasses for their kids and elderly family members. Don't do this to them. You also are forced to buy two pairs for whatever reason, or you can walk out after they tell you the pricing is a scam and still pay the advertised price for the ridiculous eye appointment. They also refused to give me reading glasses for some reason, because they decided I didn't need them (?) despite us discussing that initially and the fact that I very much need reading glasses. Next time I'm just taping my glasses together. Two stars because they DID get them same day.

I have gone to different places and wanted to give Stanton Optical a try since I needed a new pair of glasses. After my visit to the Bandera Rd store location, I can say I received great customer service. Juan and his staff were patient, professional, and knowledgeable about their products. Not only will I go back, but I will also highly recommend to others. Thank you, Juan, and everyone at Stanton Optical.

Stanton Optical is a scam with eyeglass displays. No doctor on site, my DPS form got “sent off” and never actually handled, and they tried to charge me $1100 for two cheap pairs of glasses that were supposedly buy one get one free. After a bunch of fake “discounts,” it was still over $600, and they said the glasses would take a week. Suddenly, when I pushed back, the manager magically dropped the price to under $300 and had the glasses ready the same day. 6 days later I call to inquire about that DPS form that was supposed to take 24-48 hours — STILL no update on my paperwork. So the prices? Fake. The wait times? Fake. The promotions? Fake. I also watched them deny another customer’s warranty. Do not believe the reviews - they HAVE to be removing the bad reviews because I heard them discussing them while I was there. This place runs entirely on upselling and hoping you’ll give up. Save your time, money, and sanity — go literally anywhere else.
