- FGFrank GOct 16, 20251.0Visited Stanton Optical on N Central in Plano about two weeks ago based off an email I rec from them that stated "Free Eye Exam, no purchase necessary" I made the appoint online and walked in and the person said "you have to buy frames and then its free." She said that was a mistake and I asked to talk to the manager and she went int the backroom and called him privately. She came out and then said ok and took me to a back room, put me on an exam machine, set my head up on it, then left the room for 10 minutes. She came back and said the test didn't work right and she had to do it again. I asked that she stay in the room this time and she did. Then she said my eyes couldn't be done and I need to go to an optometrist. If there isn't a professional in the building how are they able to administer these machines and do exams? Typical bait and switch. I'd lodge a complaint with the TX Atty Gen office but seems like reviews are more effective these days. Message to owner/manager. Don't waste your time on a canned response/response. No one needs to know "it's not your normal practice" and "you want to make it right"

Then she started serving me it took her a minute stopped then attended another customer who came 30 minutes after me, whom she took I assume the exam room behind and stayed there for another 5 minutes. Could. Ot wait any longer had to lease before she came. 2 lessons learnt never go back, and they don't have any customer service. Very unprofessional and the store is unkempt
