When filling out the registration paperwork, my wife asked the lady at the front desk, I believe they told us her name was Sandra, about the large billing amounts listed in all that paperwork. She attempted to explain what they meant but she was just very short and dismissive. Her explanation was not helpful and the interaction felt rushed, like she had better things to do. And I ended up having to visit another hospital yesterday bc I still wasn’t feeling well but we didnt want to interact with ppl who seem to not have any compassion. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is bc the nurse and dr were kind to us.

- TETina EdwardsDec 24, 20251.0I had a very disappointing experience at Lone Star ER. It started with a phone call where the staff member was dismissive and audibly frustrated by my questions. Had I had more time to search for a different facility, I certainly would have. When I arrived, that same lack of empathy continued; despite my injury, there was no offer to assist with the intake process. There was only one other patient there but it took forver to be seen. Furthermore, I was given verbal assurances that my billing would stay under a specific limit, yet the final invoice significantly exceeded that amount. I was completely blindsided. Aside from the X-ray technician, the staff—including the physician—were cold and unprofessional. To the point where you physically did not even want to be there. They care more about stocking the snacks sections than the patients. I would not recommend this facility based on their poor communication and bedside manner.

I was self pay, so they would tell me first how much care would cost and give me options, which is rare these days. Doctor R was very personable and attentive. Really appreciate his expertise. Number 1 place in town for sure!
