A Beacon of Hope and Unwavering Support for Our Family
Finding the right support for a child with sensory processing difficulties is one of the most daunting tasks a parent can face. When you find a place that not only meets but profoundly exceeds every hope you had, it changes everything. For our family, that place is the Center for Pediatric Development in Katy. There are not enough stars to give or words to write that can fully capture the positive, life-altering impact this center and its incredible staff have had on our lives. Our journey here has been blessed by several amazing individuals.
Ms. Eve, my Eldest daughter's occupational therapist, is nothing short of a miracle worker. The patience, creativity, and genuine care she shows in every single session is incredible. She has a magical way of connecting with my eldest daughter, and has taught her so many functional skills that are having a tremendously positive impact on her development and our life at home. Beyond her work with our daughter, Ms. Eve has been a pillar of support for me as a parent, always communicating with clarity, compassion, and a deep understanding of our family's needs.
The same standard of excellence is embodied by Ms. Ann & Ms Estefania they facilitate eldest daughter's speech therapy. Together they hehe continually done a fantastic job of assisting my eldest with her communication, opening up her world in ways we could only have dreamed of. Her sessions are productive, engaging, and filled with a warmth that makes therapy a joy. Like everyone at the center, Ms. Ann & Ms Estefania has been a consistent source of support and encouragement for our entire family.
Our journey at the center has recently expanded to include Music Therapy with Ms. Mary, and the results from the very first session have been nothing short of astounding. Ms. Mary possesses an incredible, innate ability to create a space of immediate trust and comfort. My eldest daughter, without hesitation, greeted her with a hug upon their very first meeting. Even more remarkably, my youngest daughter, who typically struggles with transitions into therapy, voluntarily and calmly followed Ms. Mary and her sister into the session—a powerful testament to the safe and welcoming environment Ms. Mary instantly fostered. They are now engaging in a therapy dyad, working together to create music, which is a new and beautiful dynamic for them. We are filled with immense optimism for this new avenue of their development.
This incredible culture of care and expertise is clearly fostered from the top down. Ms. Lacey, the director, is a force of nature. Her skills, both as a director and a highly gifted occupational therapist, are top-notch. She is patient, kind, and possesses that rare, intuitive ability to connect with children on their level. I have seen her connect with my eldest daughter in a way that very few people can, and it speaks volumes about her character and dedication.
Even the administrative side of the process, which can so often be a source of stress, has been seamless thanks to Ms. Diane. She handles the billing with such kindness and efficiency, and has been super helpful and patient with us throughout this entire journey.
The Center for Pediatric Development is more than an occupational therapy center. It is a community. It's a team of passionate, deeply skilled professionals who have become a vital part of our support system. They have celebrated our victories, guided us through our challenges, and have given our family a renewed sense of hope and capability. We are eternally grateful and cannot recommend them highly enough.
