  I want to share my experience at LASIK Houston, because it has truly been one of the most meaningful and life-changing decisions I’ve ever made. I traveled all the way from Tulsa, Oklahoma, specifically to have my eye surgery done here, and I can say with complete confidence that it was absolutely worth it. From the moment I walked through the doors, the environment felt professional, warm, and genuinely caring. The entire team reflects a level of dedication and humanity that immediately puts you at ease. I want to especially recognize Dr. January, a truly remarkable person. His attitude is outstanding—calm, patient, reassuring, and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained every step of the procedure in a way that made me feel completely safe. Even the music he selected during the surgery created a relaxing atmosphere that helped dissolve any nerves I had. His professionalism and demeanor are simply exceptional. I also want to highlight Jessy, who played a crucial role throughout the entire process. She is incredibly kind, fully bilingual, and patient beyond words. She guides you step by step, making sure you understand every detail before moving forward. Her support, her clarity, and her genuinely warm personality make a tremendous difference. People like her turn a medical experience into something comforting and human. The procedure itself was quick, precise, and performed with a level of care that speaks volumes about the team’s expertise. I left feeling relieved, amazed, and deeply satisfied. I never imagined I would be able to see this well, this fast. The results have surpassed every expectation. For all these reasons, I can say with complete certainty that I 100% recommend this place. If anyone is considering LASIK and wants a clinic where they will be treated with respect, professionalism, patience, and genuine care, this is the place to go.   I definitely have to give a five star rating! All the staff is extremely friendly and left nothing out of what I was to expect before and after the procedure. I got to meet with Dr January before my actual procedure and I will say I was extremely nervous, but he did a great job on calming my nerves and setting the expectations. The procedure was actually minutes long and I’m not over exaggerating… MINUTES. Over and done with in no time. I couldn’t be happier and I would definitely recommend Lasik and having your procedure done here!

  100% recommended. Before the LASIK treatment, I wasn’t able to see anything without the contact lenses or glasses not even my phone. Using contacts I got and bad eye infection. Now I don’t have to worry about that. Now I see everything this is the most great investment ever that I ever made. Honestly I can see 20/20 something that happened more than 2o years ago. If you need to think about it, do it , think but go ahead and do it don’t stop there do the next step. This is power , confidence and freedom. Health and healing. The staff is the most wonderful people ever, great environment. I love it and you will love it too. Do it just do it. Long review because I’m super excited. No more drama and complications. Freedom.

  Update following the response from Lasik Plus (Nov 2025): Thank you for the reply. On Friday, November 7, 2025, I spoke with Dr. Tram, Dr. Do, Dr. Su, Dr. January, and two other clinicians at your clinic. They said my eyes are healthy. My concerns are reduced clarity in distance vision and weaker near vision (which was perfect before surgery). I was advised to check with my own eye doctor and told that correcting distance vision can weaken near vision and may require glasses. I am 38, and it is hard to accept that noticeable changes beginning two months after surgery are simply age related. This possibility and the trade-offs were not fully explained during my consultation, and the issues started shortly after the procedure, not gradually over time. Please share a clear plan to evaluate and address this, including enhancement eligibility and expected timeline. I will update my review after the outcome so others in a similar age range can be fully informed. ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` I had my LASIK done at LasikPlus Houston in April 2025 with Dr. Brewer. The experience right after surgery was amazing. I could read car plates 7 or 8 cars ahead, everything felt crisp and sharp, and I was very happy with the outcome during the first two months. But around the two-month mark, I started noticing halos and shadows around letters and numbers, especially at a distance. Now I can only clearly read the plate of one car in front of me, and I really have to focus to get things sharp. It’s not blurry exactly, but the clarity is definitely not the same as it was in the early weeks after surgery. At my six-month follow-up, the doctor told me everything looks healthy and my vision is technically 20/20. When I brought up the issue with distance clarity and shadowing, they told me it’s likely due to age. I’m 38 and a half, and they said people around 40 to 45 often start developing near vision problems like presbyopia. I understand that part, but it’s hard for me to believe that aging just happened to affect my vision exactly two months after surgery. Especially when the issue I’m experiencing is with distance, not near vision. I was also told during this follow-up that once your eyes are corrected for distance, your near vision often gets weaker and you may need reading glasses. This was the first time I ever heard that, and honestly, I wish it had been explained before my procedure. If the outcome still involves needing glasses, I would have wanted more clarity on that trade-off during the consultation. The clinic has been professional and said they’ll continue monitoring my eyes to see if another procedure might be needed, which I appreciate. I do still have better vision than before surgery, but I’m sharing this for others around my age who may want to ask more questions during the process and understand all the possibilities.

  This entire LASIKPlus facility/staff on Buffalo Speedway is absolutely incredible! Everyone is so kind, personable, and enthusiastic! They made me comfortable from the start. Any potential doubts I had, completely went out the window. They answered any questions that I had and they didn’t seem tired of the MANY questions I had. Tracy was one of the people that prep me before my procedure and she was an angel. When I came back for my follow up, she gave me a big hug and made me feel so welcome. Dr. January performed my lasik and I now have 20/15 vision! I can see individual leaves now! Dr. January was such a fun doctor to work with and has a fantastic taste in music. I would do it over and over again if I had to. The procedure took less than 10 minutes and it was absolutely painless and it was the easiest procedure I’ve ever had by far! Everyone here at Lasik Plus has completely changed my life and I’m forever grateful. I will always recommend this facility to anyone that seems interested in Lasik or PRK.
