I came to this Concentra Urgent Care specifically because it is listed on VA.gov as an in-network VA urgent care facility. I am an eligible veteran, and I followed VA procedures exactly. What happened next was one of the most incompetent and disrespectful healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. The receptionist made zero effort to help from the moment I walked in. When I explained I was using VA in-network urgent care (through TriWest / VA MISSION Act), she immediately defaulted to “we can’t help you” instead of even attempting to verify eligibility. A manager (Hispanic woman, dark hair, glasses — did not provide her name) came out and did absolutely nothing to help. She insisted I must have a Veteran Health ID card (VHIC) to be seen — which is flat-out false under VA urgent care rules. MOST IMPORTANTLY: NO VETERAN ID CARD IS REQUIRED FOR VA IN-NETWORK URGENT CARE. To make this worse, I called the VA urgent care assistance line while I was there. The VA representative clearly stated that I was being treated incorrectly and unfairly, and that this clinic was not following proper VA urgent care procedures. Instead of calling the actual VA/TriWest provider assistance number (which I repeatedly tried to provide), staff claimed they were “calling other clinics for help” — which is not how VA urgent care works and only showed how unprepared this location is. For comparison, I left this location and went to NextCare Urgent Care (also VA in-network). They required nothing beyond normal check-in, followed proper procedure, and treated me with basic respect and competence. NO ISSUES. NO CONFUSION. NO EXCUSES. This Concentra location: • Does not understand VA urgent care procedures • Refuses to use proper support resources • Has management unwilling to escalate or resolve issues • And ultimately denied an eligible veteran medical care I sacrificed years of my life serving this country. Being turned away from healthcare I am legally entitled to — over misinformation and refusal to follow procedure — is absolutely insane. The fact that this statement alone seemed to mean nothing to this clinic is exactly why this location needs to be investigated and held accountable. If you are a veteran, do not come here. If you value competent healthcare, do not come here.

Doctor and nurse were great. Listen to what I had to say very attentive and caring. The lady at the front desk however extremely rude and abrasive. Did not get my paperwork at the end had to go back tried to call so it would be ready and nobody would answer the front desk. Five stars for the medical staff two stars for the front office staff.

Arrive and gave the requested information to the receptionist and was instructed to have a seat. I sat directly in front of receptionist. I sat and waited approximately an hour and 25 minutes with everyone being seen including all the ones that came in after me. A gentleman asked the receptionist if he could just schedule an appointment and she replied they did not make appointments. I proceeded to get up and inquire on why all the people that came in after me were being seen and she informed me as soon as I completed the questionnaire she texted me I would be called back. I informed her and show her on my phone that no text had been sent to me. She then sent it and I immediately received it. I asked her why she waited so long to send it because I was on the clock at my work and I needed to get back. She stated the system has glitches all the time and there wasn’t anything she could do. I’m asked her why she hadn’t informed me I would receive a text so I would be looking for it and she said she had other things to do besides being a receptionist. I suggest the company first get the glitches out of their system and second train their employees on how to inform clients to expect a text to complete their sign in and if someone sitting in front of you has been sitting there over an hour to inquire or determine the reason.
