    If I could give this location a 0 out of 5, I would. My experience at Stanton Optical was extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and misleading from start to finish. We visited specifically for the 2-for-$79 promotion. The gentleman who initially assisted us completed paperwork and led us to the waiting area but never explained pricing, services, or what was included. As this was my first time visiting an optical office, I trusted that the exam being performed was a standard eye exam. After the exam, I was told my prescription would be ready shortly, so I began looking at frames included in the promotion. When we sat down with another employee to review my prescription. The employee was extremely pushy with add-ons, including blue light, specific lenses, and anti-glare, despite us repeatedly stating we were there only for the 2-for-$79 promotion, which includes a free eye exam, free anti-glare, and two pairs of glasses. Even after clearly stating this, add-ons were still added without proper explanation. We also asked if the glasses could be made the same day, which we were told was possible. While they were being made, we requested a receipt and a copy of the prescription, neither of which had been provided earlier. That is when we noticed a charge for the OCT exam. When we questioned this, the assistant manager claimed the OCT was a mandatory charge due to a “new system.” I later contacted customer service and spoke with Stephanie, who clearly stated that the OCT exam is NOT mandatory and is only performed upon request. We never requested this exam and were never informed of it. When we returned to the store and relayed this information, the assistant manager changed his explanation, stating the exam automatically costs $118 unless a specific exam is requested, and that “everyone pays it.” This directly contradicted what customer service told us. I then proceeded to call customer service again and it was a different representative later stated they could not assist and that the issue was up to the store. The assistant manager refused to provide additional clarification or a refund and went as far as blaming us for not asking enough questions, despite the fact that pricing and services should be clearly disclosed upfront—especially for first-time patients. This experience was frustrating, misleading, and completely unacceptable. The lack of transparency and accountability is the reason we will never return to Stanton Optical. Customers should not be blamed for charges that were never explained or authorized. I

    I had an amazing experience! If you are looking for a fast and income friendly place to get new glasses I totally recommend this place! I had broken my glasses that I had used for about 5 years. I tried using super glue to fix them but ended up getting glue on the lens , and upon trying to clean them, I made the lens gray. Last minute, I had to find a place that would take walk ins or appointments. Lucky for me, this place does both! I set up an appointment the night before, arrived, and was helped in about a 15 minute wait. The staff were very friendly and helpful! They even joked around a bit about my Frankenstein glasses with me, which gave me a good laugh. Later on, after the examination, I picked out some glasses. Unfortunately, I picked out a pair that was too expensive for my budget. However, one of the managers, Chris, helped me find a reliable way to get around the financial issue. And I was able to get the pair I wanted plus a pair of trial contacts for an affordable price! Finally, I walked out wearing a trial pair of contacts to retire my half beaten glasses, and the next morning got my new ones. Definitely a great experience for my first time ever buying glasses as a young adult! :)

    The appointment for two was scheduled at 10:30 a.m., but we did not leave until 1:30 p.m., and there is still an order pending to be completed. The office was short-staffed, which caused significant delays. We were seen by a virtual doctor for the exam, which was disappointing and not what we expected. Additionally, there was a very limited selection of glasses available. Overall, this was a frustrating experience, and we are disappointed with the service.

    I am not going to lie my experience from the start was not great at all. Everyone looked like they were not happy to be there. Once the exam was over and we picked out our glasses we got to meet the most kindest person I have ever met. Janie was extremely helpful and friendly. She genuinely looked like she enjoyed being there helping everyone. She is the reason why I am giving this place a 5 start. Kindness goes a long way and definitely changed my mood completely. Janie you are a beautiful human being and I can’t say thank you enough for being so great to my son and I.

    I wish there was a zero rating. If you have an exuberant amount of patience, don't mind taking an average of 5 hours from your day for an eye exam (only to do it again when you have to pick up your glasses), and are willing to deal with complete incompetence. This is the place for you. This has got to be the WORST optical place in El paso. We had to do 2 eye exams in one day. You have to wait for the ( remotley located) doctor to sign off on the script which can take anywhere from 20 mins to 24 hours. Then they get everything wrong either the glasses come in with messed up scripts or the script is off. By the time you actually receive your products you should be put on payroll because things take FOREVER here and you will spend more time here than home with your kids. You will get Nothing but excuses and no accountability. I would schedule something at another facility. If you are getting contacts sometimes you will get lenses from 2 different brands because they don't have your script in stock.
