****UPDATE: MY BEST ADVICE TO JUST STAY AWAY. Stanton hasnt contacted me or tried to help in any way. I had this very poor experience on 10/22. On that day I was told my glasses would be ready the next day after 3PM. I went back on 10/23 and arrived at 4PM. The same associate (Carlos) was working. I asked for the glasses and he said they weren't ready. This was frustrating as I had driven 30 minutes to the store. I asked if they would be ready soon, and I could just wait for them, and was told they would not be ready for 1.5 hours. Frustrated I drove back home and 20 minutes after leaving the store I received a text saying they were ready. Also, on 10/22 during my original visit I called the customer service number to try and work this out, while I was at the store. After 10 minutes on the phone I was told they were escalating the issue and I'd receive a call within 24-48 hours. After posting this review I received a reply on 10/24 also stating I would be contacted. To date I have not been contacted by anyone. ORIGINAL POST: I scheduled an appointment on 10/22 at 4:30pm to have an exam and the $79 deal. I am unfortunately very very dissatisfied with this experience. I searched online and found the 2 glasses and eye exam special for $79, and booked an appointment. When I got to the store the staff member (Carlos) told me that special only included eye exam and frames, that I would need to purchases lenses for an extra $129. I pulled up the website and showed him where it said "plastic single vision lenses included". He told me "plastic single vision lenses" are what the fake lenses stock frames come with and they would not allow me to see clearer. I assumed he worked on commission and this was a tactic to try and upsell me, but I was firm that all I wanted was the special that was being offered. He got his district manager on speaker phone and asked "Does the $79 special come with plastic single vision lenses" and the manager responded "Yes" and he disconnected the call. I asked to speak with the district manager and I asked her if the lenses would match my prescription from the eye exam and allow me to see clearer and she said yes. After we got off the phone the store associate told me he did not think the code for the special would work and that he could not attempt to enter it until after I paid $79 for the eye exam. He explained if the code did not work all I would get was my eye exam results and would need to pay the normal price for the lenses and frames. At that point I went outside and called Stanton's customer service number, the rep on the phone told me I should be able to do the $79 special and that he would call the store for me. After ~5 minutes of waiting the phone rep came back on and said that due to higher than normal call volume he would have to escalate my issue and reach back out in 24-48 hours. At that point I just gave up and agreed. After the eye exam he told me the code would not work for me but a different code for $129 did work for me. I paid and honestly feel completely scammed at this point.

Arrived to get my glasses in an uber I paid for on my lunch break after receiving a text saying my glasses are ready. rep was very nonchalant about telling me my glasses were not available and she showed 0 consideration for this mishap. This place seems to be unorganized and unprofessional. I was not happy with the lense provided and I regret using this company. Rep also, made various comments in a jokingly matter about how thick my lens would be. Also, when I arrived she complained about how difficult it would be to fix my glasses because of how thick they are. If I didn’t need my glasses for work, I’d get my money back.

It is a scam. I have been wearing glasses since I was 9. The first thing was they told me that the bogo offer only applied if you didn’t have a complex prescription. Ok that’s weird. They then gave me a mini exam to make sure I qualified or something. The exam is a hybrid which wasn’t communicated until I went i. An office and saw the dr on a tv screen. After the exam when they go over the results they let me know to get my full rx would cost more. They could give me the single lens but inwould pay more for the full lens. Why would I want a partial prescription? I have never heard anything like that. It’s a scam to get more money. They lure you in with false advertising. ***edit**** I didn’t plan on using my insurance I was going to pay out of pocket. The technician came out with a rx and told me I could pay for the single Lens or get my full rx for extra. But she was also made sure to say in her opinion the single lens would not be as good as the full prescription. I would only be able to see far away. Who pays for half a prescription? I was not getting the $79 frames. I was actually getting the $139.pair. My last pair I got from americas best cost $400. It wasn’t the price it was the service and the fact that somebody was giving me half a prescription. They didn’t even ask me to see my previous prescription or anything. Didn’t ask me to put my glasses on. They basically seemed like they were giving me some prescription reading classes. SCAM!!! Don’t go. Waste of time. Who upsells the prescription, the extras like lenses , unbreakable, lens , scratch resistant , colored Lens yes but the actual perscription. Wow. It’s like going to the hospital for a broken leg and getting meds for the pain but not fixing the broken bone.
