I saw a patient leaving room 2 and the gentleman who attended to him conducted my drug test. The gentleman/worker led me to the previously used restroom with urine covering the seat and the floor. Once I personally cleaned the mess, I informed the worker of the urine. His response was to laugh and say I know. Stunned, I questioned asking if he said he was aware of the mess and he again replied, “ya.” So here is a list of diseases you can catch through contact with urine • Typhoid • Cytomegalovirus • Hepatitis B • Hepatitis C • HIV • E. Coli • Leptospirosis I left BEYOND discussed. I have since contacted Texas Department of State Health Services and Health and Human Service Commission. You are a medical facility, act accordingly.
