- DWDr. WoodardDec 22, 20255.0The two wonderful staff ladies that worked Dec 19th around 1-3pm were so patient with me. I came from CareNOW Urgent clinic with bruises and a blown vein due to their negligence of not having properly trained staff to take my blood. Shanicia (can’t exactly remember her name) was so patient with me as she talked me through what my body is experiencing with her trying to take my blood again after the 3rd try with CareNOW. She carefully talked me through my body having PTSD trauma from my current needle injuries and bruises from CareNOW so to focus on my breathing while she attempts to take my blood. I became faint and she was not able to continue and had to stop her blood withdrawal attempt. She fanned me, laid my chair back and kept me in a dark room to allow my nervous system to come down and my body relax. I had gotten very hot and she gave me a bottle of water also. 5 minutes or so after relaxing, I felt better and was ready to go again. Another young lady, not the first one that attempted to draw my blood, came into the room to make her first attempt at drawing my blood, while the first young lady helped with other patients. They are a great TEAM. Well within 5 secs my blood was successfully drawn and I was able to report to my future employer the success. What a journey for future employment endeavors. I have a story to tell. Thank you Concentra for your professionalism, knowledgeable, experienced, caring, staff members. CareNOW urgent can learn from you all.
