    TLDR-- it seems that multiple people are leaving this location more blind than they were before, be ready to call and verify your own vision benefits, and there is no actual doctor here. I really wanted to like this place because I am in need of a new optometrist. But things were not off to a good start when I arrived and was told I had to call my own insurance company and ask for them to send me my explanation of benefits so that I could then email them to the store. I was told they're "not allowed" to call the insurance company. This ate into the first 20 minutes of my appointment time (which in turn caused the person after to me be 30+ minutes late starting her appointment). I then came to realize that there is no doctor at this store. The three people in the building were the store manager, a guy being trained to do eye exams, and a girl from a different location who is there to train him. The results from my eye exam were sent to a doctor who is elsewhere (I have no idea where, but definitely not here) and had to wait 10-15 minutes for that doctor to message back with my new prescription. When I got my new prescription, I was told my eyes had IMPROVED by an entire point each and that I had suddenly developed an astigmatism in one eye. Since my prescription has been the same for 20 years and I can see very well out of my current contacts, I was very concerned that I would not be able to see out of this new prescription. So I was brought a trial pair of contacts to try on. Sure enough, I couldn't see a thing, and I insisted they change my prescription back to what it had been. While this was happening, TWO different families came back into the store asking for refunds because they couldn't see out of their new prescriptions! I was told by an employee that this had been happening all week-- people being given the incorrect prescriptions. The man I was working with was very kind, and offered to give me a manager discount to waive the cost of the contact exam since it was incorrect. But while he was doing this, the store manager walked up and told him not to discount it. "I mean, we did the eye exam for her," she said. (Well yeah, but you did it WRONG.) So I paid $99 for...nothing. I showed them my prescription from a year ago from a different doctor and they copied it down, because they were unable to correctly assess my vision themselves. There were no apologies--or even acknowledgement--from the store manager, and this whole fiasco took over two hours. I think I'll be sticking with my old eye doctor's office after all.

    My experience here was wonderful. Kayla was so nice and helpful apon arrival. I got taken back for my exam quickly and the lady who gave my exam was knowledgeable and thorough and made me feel comfortable. Definitely recommend! Great customer service and great price!

    I had an outstanding experience at Stanton Optical, thanks entirely to Kayla Sommerio. I have a pretty challenging prescription—especially for my Meta glasses—and Kayla absolutely crushed it. She took the time to walk through everything carefully, made sure the lenses were done right, and didn’t rush the process at all. What really stood out was how hard she worked to find discounts through my insurance even though it was out of network. Because of her effort and attention to detail, I ended up getting glasses not just for myself, but for my wife as well—and saved far more than I expected. Kayla is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about doing right by her customers. If you’re going to Stanton Optical, do yourself a favor and ask for her. Top-tier service from start to finish.

    I brought my daughter for her to get two pair deal. After checking my insurance, I also ended up getting two pair. They were so attentive and took the time to explain everything. Nothing felt pushed or like they were just trying to sell something! I’m definitely switching providers! Thank you guys so much!
