  This seems to be a place to get eye exams and glasses if you don't have insurance. They didn't want to run our insurance. Never even asked for it. Of coarse that's bc they want to charge you 79.00 for the eye exam. This was hidden on an automatic box that was checked at the bottom of the HIPAA form. I made them run the insurance and they tell me they don't file insurance but still give us a discount. No thank you. This place just seemed like a scam. I guess its a deal if you don't have eye insurance but watch the fine print!

  5 Stars – Exceptional Service at Stanton Optical! I had the absolute pleasure of receiving eye care at Stanton Optical recently, and I cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service provided by Chris and Augusta. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to ensure that I not only received the correct prescription, but that I was comfortable, confident, and cared for throughout the entire process. Augusta was a ray of sunshine warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She made the testing and exam process feel easy and stress-free, treating me like a valued guest rather than just another appointment on the schedule. Chris truly impressed me with his attention to detail and commitment to precision. He took the time to use the old-school Optical Trial Lens Frame (yes, that bulky metal glasses tool!) to make fine-tuned adjustments to my prescription. He made sure we weren’t over- or under-correcting, and that I wouldn’t walk away with a pair of glasses that would cause headaches or strain. His dedication to getting it right was unmatched. What truly set this experience apart was how genuinely invested they both were in my care. In my 43 years, I’ve never left an eye exam feeling this seen and valued. Chris and Augusta made me feel like more than a patient they made me feel like a friend. Because of this phenomenal experience, I’ll be bringing both my wife and child in to be seen as well. It made the 30ish minute drive from Watauga to Kingsport MORE than worth it! In a time where customer service often feels rushed and impersonal, these two delivered something rare a sincere and personal experience rooted in care, kindness, and expertise. Whoever reads this at corporate: please give these two a raise, a bonus, or at the very least a fancy dinner they’ve earned it! Thank you, Chris and Augusta.   Customer service is fair. However, this was by far the worst experience I’ve had in my 30 years of wearing glasses. I’ve had to make multiple trips because the lenses were off, I could barely walk and almost ran off the road while wearing the glasses. They kept giving me the wrong glasses, forgot to put the reflective coating on. I finally just told them to put my current prescription in the glasses, they messed that up as well. Never called/text telling me my glasses were ready. I had to call them and when I went to pick them up I got the impression that me having to make multiple trips for them to rectify their wrong doings was an inconvenience. My first experience with them and definitely my last. They are more so a retail for glasses with little to no emphasis on the actual exam/prescription. I prefer going to an actual optometrist.

  I went for exam for contacts now Brittany was great she took me back said I had waited long enough. I didn't see a doctor still haven't received my prescription they were also supposed to order me trail dailies almost 2 weeks ago I haven't got a call or email
