I've been going here for years and have had decent care overall. Like others have stated, the lack of communication and constant calls about small balances ($8), are unfortunately issues that had me find help elsewhere.
I had orthotics sent out for repairs/adjustments and was told it would be 3-4 weeks. During this visit I told the doctor the amount of pain I was in and needed to find relief ASAP since I work on my feet, I was told to send the orthotics out but was given no other advice to help with the pain. I ended up getting some insoles from the store to hopefully help transition while waiting for my orthotics to come back, which made the problem exponentially worse. It's now been over 2 months and I just received them back after being told they got lost, the main issue I had with this was that I received zero communication or calls to tell me about the delays. I had to call multiple times to get any information (while still getting the calls about an $8 balance... Which I didn't even end up having to pay when finally picking up my orthotics).
Unfortunately I just didn't feel there was actually much care for my well-being and I was just treated like a customer instead of a patient in need of help. I ended up seeing another Dr. And was immediately helped not only with orthotics but given the option of steroid injections for the pain, alternative treatments, different medications that may help, and I was sent to have my vitamin D levels checked.
I appreciate the help I did receive here, but am glad I found another office that seems to take a more holistic overall approach to healing the issues I'm having.

I am sharing this detailed review in hopes it helps others make an informed decision when choosing a doctor’s office.
I first selected this practice for two reasons: (1) their availability was much sooner than other offices, which I now realize may have been a red flag, and (2) a family member, who is also a physician in the Upstate, knew one of the doctors personally. While he did not recommend him professionally, he noted that he seemed like a nice person.
The scheduling staff was polite and explained the initial costs as well as my insurance coverage. At my first appointment, the doctor taped my foot and asked me to follow up in a few days, which did provide some relief. He explained that if the taping worked, orthotics would likely be the next step.
When I returned to be fitted for orthotics, the process felt more like a high-pressure sales pitch than a medical consultation. I was told the out-of-pocket costs and informed that adjustments would be covered during the warranty period. However, shortly after, I began receiving repeated calls, emails, and texts about small outstanding balances ($30–$40). When I contacted the office, I was told the charges were due to an error at my previous visit. Even after paying, I continued to receive notices claiming my bill was past due. Staff later explained that although my payment was received, it could not be applied until my next appointment—something that seemed questionable.
After the estimated four weeks, I still had not received my orthotics. When I called, I was told the office was waiting for insurance payment before releasing them to me—despite the fact that I had already paid my portion. Upon further investigation, I discovered they had not even filed the insurance claim. Only after pointing this out was I told I could pick them up.
When the orthotics did not provide relief, I returned to the doctor, who agreed adjustments were needed and ordered an MRI. To my surprise, I was billed for another office visit (and co-pay) even though I had been assured that orthotic adjustments during the warranty period would not incur additional costs. In reality, while the adjustments themselves were free, the requirement to schedule and pay for another doctor’s visit made the promise misleading—what I would describe as a “bait and switch.”
Both physicians I saw were personable and professional. However, the office practices, billing processes, and communication from staff left me with significant concerns. At this time, I am seeking another provider to review my MRI results and continue my care.
As my family member in the medical field wisely said, “You can have the best doctors and nurses, but if the office staff and administrative processes are poor, the overall care will suffer.” Unfortunately, that has been my experience with this practice.

After years of having a hammer head pinkie toe and months and months of scraping a callous I finally was able to have some well needed relief. Dr Carlisle did an amazing job with his surgeon skills. The staff at the office and also Spartanburg Surgery Center was very professional, courteous, and answered any question or concern I had. Thank you all for anyone that had a hand on taking care of me.

Don't let the name throw you off, "Clinic" because this is more like a family practice. Entire staff was pleasant and Dr. Lindstrom is very knowledgeable and helpful. An xray from a prior radiology co. stated I had a heal spur. Dr. L.did not see this on his xray and recommended custom orthotics. They came in within 2 weeks and they seem to be helping with heel pain, so far so good!
