  We made an appointment for 10:30am it's now 11:22am still in the waiting room and they have already took the payment! I'm calling BS!!!

  My sister went to get her impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Sowell. He numbed both sides of her mouth, but she could still feel on one side. He told her that he was going to do it anyways even though she could still feel pain. He basically told her that she was lying about still being able to feel it. He also told her that he was not going to give her any antibiotics after the surgery. I do not recommend him. He will tell you that you are lying about not being numb and apparently not give you antibiotics after surgery.

  I wasn't even a patient here, my Father In law had an appointment at the orthopedics right next door, me and my 2 girls, 7 and 3yrs old keep in mind, sat in the shade between the two offices and we were just waiting around for him to be done with his appointment. One of the male doctors/dentists or whatever you want to call him, a very old man, came over to us and was saying extremely inappropriate things to and about me and my children. Examples "what an attractive 3some you guys are" and said "an ant is about to bite your butt" and reached down like he was going to touch me, then continued to get closer to me as i backed away. He went on to ask how I disciplined my children and made comments about my butt and kept going on about how attractive my very young children were. It was all around a very uncomfortable experience I can't imagine being a patient of his. I left ASAP and went and sat inside the orthopedics office. I may be making a big deal out of nothing but to me it was very unsettling.

  Dr. Sowell is phenomenal. Thorough, personable, and professional. He has a passion for the work he does. He and the male counterpart that assisted during my procedure were a pleasure. I experienced little to no during the procedure and after. Unfortunately, other individuals in the office caused this low rating. In 2 of 3 of my appointments here, the front desk receptionist had been less than pleasant. The day of my surgery, she was very cold and short when getting me checked in. She didn’t like that I had folded my consent form that was giving to me weeks prior by Dr. Sowell and I was made to sign another. I understand everyone has bad days, but it was like she simply didn’t want to be bothered. During my surgery, my ride/aunt came in to wait for me to finish up. She also experienced the receptionist’s rude disposition when asking if it was okay if she waited inside for me. After my surgery, a woman came in the room to discuss after care and my need for a medical excuse for work. She refused to write the excuse for the days I had already scheduled off. She spoke about what was “typical” as for as recovery. Due to just coming out of surgery with a mouth full of gauze and blood, I was unable to articulate why I took certain days off. I took an additional two days off for recovery due to the nature of work I do, but that didn’t seem to matter to her. I have plans to have additional surgeries done, but I will be taking my business elsewhere. I was willing to continue with them even though they are out of my insurance network, but it is not worth treated coldly. According to other reviews, this is not a new issue. Your front desk receptionists set the tone for your office and patients.

  Dr. H and her staff were wonderful. After my procedure I felt minimal pain and discomfort. Communication was wonderful and I felt cared for. I definitely recommend her… she made this process much more positive than it could have been.
