I do not recommend this clinic. I had a biopsy done and called for the results a week later and they said they would call me when they were available. They never called. A month later I received a letter telling me my diagnosis and to call to setup a follow up. I called and left a message. No call back two days later I called and left another message. No call back. I decided to transfer my care elsewhere and asked them to fax my records to the new clinic and they have not done son and it’s been over three weeks.

They were friendly enough. My appointment felt extremely rushed. I got maybe 5 minutes with the dermatologist? Also, you guys may want to talk to your front office people about the way they talk about your patients. It was quite uncomfortable to hear her huffing and puffing about helping some lady find her keys. Overall, it did not feel like a welcoming environment and I won't be back. 🤷‍♀️

I did not have a good experience with my appointment with Dr. Hunter. I made an appointment here because everything I've tried at home over the years has not helped the irritation on my arms, and I am self conscious about it. Dr. Hunter did not ask me any questions, just took one look, stated that I have Keratosis Pilaris, and said I need to exfoliate. I said that I do exfoliate and that I have even tried scrubs made specifically for KP. According to her, all I can hope for is smoother skin as nothing will reduce the look of it until I "turn 40". Fine, I have a few chronic illnesses and am no stranger to conditions not having a cure. She said over the counter remedies work just as well as prescriptions, but she could prescribe me a topical retinoid (not through a pharmacy, but through their own special place that my insurance will likely not cover). I then ventured to ask her about the redness on my cheeks as the skin sometimes gets puffy and dry and irritated. After poking me in the eye when he reached to touch my face, she concluded I just have clogged pores. To give her a little grace, the redness was not as apparent as it usually is when I saw her, but I am mostly frustrated by how she did not ask me any questions and came off as though I was wasting her time. It's concerning to me when a doctor does not ask their patient questions. No questions about my skincare routine. No questions as to when my apparent KP does flare up since I do exfoliate (she was very stuck on this). And while I can laugh off being accidentally poked in the eye, it just comes off as another show of her lack of care. It's also incredibly concerning to give a patient a diagnosis and prescribe them a medication without giving them any information. It is important to use sunscreen when you use a retinoid - I know this, but Dr. Hunter did not mention this at all. Per my own research, there are different types of Keratosis Pilaris - Dr. Hunter didn't ask any clarifying questions and did not give me any specifics. Just took one look and gave a blanket diagnosis. I would not recommend this doctor. Seek someone who will use their medical knowledge to inform and help you. Look for a doctor who will ask you questions and be more precise.
