The staff was very friendly and professional. They came up with a plan that I’ll make 100% recovery on my lower back. I’ve went to other places and id feel good a week or two and fall back to being in pain. I’m the few visits I’ve been here. I feel like I’m on the right track and believe I won’t be in pain anymore.
Thank you guy so much!

Frequently Asked Questions About American Back Center LLC
What is VAX-D therapy?
VAX-D therapy, which stands for vertebral axial decompression, is a non-invasive treatment option approved by the FDA for chronic back and neck pain. It's designed to address issues such as herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and spinal stenosis. The therapy works by applying gentle stretching to the spine, which helps alleviate pressure on spinal discs and nerves.
How does VAX-D work?
During a VAX-D session, patients lie comfortably on a specially designed table. A patented system then gently decompresses the spine, creating negative pressure within the discs. This process can help retract bulging or herniated disc material and enhance nutrient flow to promote faster healing.
What conditions does VAX-D treat?
VAX-D therapy is effective for several spinal conditions, including herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, facet syndrome, low back pain, neck pain, failed back surgery syndrome, and spinal stenosis.
Is VAX-D therapy safe?
VAX-D therapy is considered safe. It has received FDA clearance and has been in use for over 25 years, with numerous successful patient outcomes. The treatment is non-invasive, does not involve drugs or injections, and doesn't require surgery.
What does VAX-D feel like?
Most patients describe VAX-D therapy as a relaxing experience. During treatment, you may feel a gentle stretching sensation in your lower back or neck, depending on the area being treated. Some patients even find the experience so comfortable that they fall asleep during their session.
How long does each treatment take?
A typical VAX-D session lasts between 30 to 45 minutes. Depending on your specific condition and how you respond to the therapy, a complete treatment plan may involve 20 to 30 sessions.
How soon will I feel relief?
Many patients report experiencing some improvement within the first few sessions of VAX-D therapy. However, for long-lasting relief, it's typically necessary to complete the full course of treatment as recommended by your healthcare provider.
Do I need a referral?
A referral is not required to receive VAX-D therapy. You can directly schedule a consultation with our team to determine if this treatment is appropriate for your condition.
Is VAX-D covered by insurance?
Insurance coverage for VAX-D therapy varies depending on your specific provider and plan. Our team would be pleased to verify your benefits and discuss available payment options during your initial consultation.
Who should not undergo VAX-D?
