- KNKaren NickelsonNov 20, 20255.0I have received pt several times with my herniated disk. Prior to surgery i was seen at another facility. At that place the physical therapist did the initial evaluation, made a plan then a physical therapist assistant worked with you for the excersises. After having surgery my Dr gave me the name of two places in my area that she heard good things a out them. I chose Phoenix pt. I like that i worked with the physical therapist and not an assistant. I feel the first place pushed me to do more then I was capable of doing and exacerbated the pain. After being released I had an MRI which showed I had a large herniated disk L5 S1. I proceeded with the surgery and then started physical therapy at Phoenix shortly after a period of "healing". I met Chris the PT and could tell his personality and mine would be a good fit. If I hurt he would have me rest a few and changed the plan to fit me and my situation. I definitely felt better having a PT and not an assistant as he was able to make the changes. He has a great personality, he is funny, tells funny stories of his family. Much more relaxed atmosphere. Some days I didnt want to go but knew Chris would cheer me up. Highly recommend the Lewisburg location. You can pick on him and he will pick back. Very personable person. Barb the receptionist is kind I never had any issues with her with scheduling or interactions we had.
