- SSSanjeewa SenadheeraDec 15, 20251.0Be careful when you make appointments for cleaning with Lancaster Smiles. I do have dental insurance through MetLife. MetLife provides two cleanings for a year. In 2024, I had only one cleaning, and Lancaster Smiles could not accommodate a date within the same year to have my second cleaning. So they gave me an appointment on January 2, 2025. In 2025, Lancaster Smiles made me two more cleaning appointments (altogether 3 for the calendar year 2025). I did not know that I had two previous appointments before having the third one in November. As a result, the third cleaning was not fully covered through my insurance, and I got a bill for $188. They said that it is my responsibility to pay. I believe it is not acceptable, and I am not happy with the situation. Based on my experience, other doctors' offices mention upfront if your visit is not covered. So, be careful!
