Will always suck, plus the dog he would bring into his office peed on my foot when I was younger and his assistants made it my problem. 10/10 never recommend

Please please please don't take your kids here. Trust the reviews. I know people go here because he is one of the few in the area that takes insurance. Trust me, make the drive and go somewhere out of town.
I have a horrible cavity and asked for a root canal. He said a filling would be good enough but x-rays showed it should have been a root canal, so again, I asked for one. He got annoyed and reminded me that HE is the doctor, not me. He did the filling. I had to ask for him to numb me more, multiple times and he kept saying I would be fine. I basically had to beg. I felt EVERYTHING. The pain was HORRIBLE for two weeks. I went back and he shaved down the filling and sent me on my way. The pain was so bad u went to a different dentist. They were horrified that anyone would have done a filling when I clearly needed a root canal. The filling was directly on the nerves or "pulp" I think they called it. They said whoever did this needed to go back to school.
I chalked it up to a mistake.
My 7 year old son was in horrible pain for about 2 days. The office did get us in quickly. They took him back and started a cleaning and were checking to see what was wrong. One of the ladies came out and belittled me infront of other people in the waiting room. She told me he clearly was not brushing his teeth and his teeth were caked in plaque. Listen, he is 7. We are trying to teach him how to brush his teeth ON HIS OWN. Nooooo 7 year old does a great job brushing their teeth. We even have the timed tooth brushes but there is still a learning curve. He also hadn't brushed his teeth correctly for 2 days because of the pain. But to belittle me in front of everyone....really?
She said he had an infection under a tooth and they were going to clean it out.
So I was sitting in the waiting room and I could hear my son crying and saying "ow ow ow ow that's hurts!!!"
I figured it was the shot in the gums because, yea, that hurts. Well over the next ten minutes he kept getting louder and louder. By the end he was SCREAMING in pain. I kept getting up to go back but what was I going to do? Stop them in the middle of cleaning out an infection? Wait 3 weeks to get in at some other office while he suffers with an infection becuase I stopped them? No.
I kept thinking they will be done any minute. Any minute now.
Then I hear Steidle YELL at my 7 year old "Enough! Thats enough! Do you understand me?!"
I gathered my things and tried to grab my younger son I had with me but my 7 year old comes walking out, bawling.
I asked the lady that was back there how many shots they gave him to numb it, what was all the screaming about. She said ONE. They gave him ONE shot.
Any adult knows ONE shot is NEVER enough. If any adult says they aren't numb after one shot, they are given more until it's numb. Nope. Not for kids! Kids get told to shut up and sit still.
Then she asked if I wanted the tooth. They pulled the tooth! NO WONDER HE WAS SCREAMING!!! One shot and ripped the tooth out.
When my husband complained he was told Steidle was just trying to calm our son down. I'm sorry, since when does a grown man yelling at a child ever calm the child down?
They also told my husband I "went home and lied to him". They said Steidle didn't yell. I was in the waiting room, a few rooms away. The entire waiting room heard him. We also have a 7 year old terrified to go back to a dentist becuase "they yell". So now he thinks all dentists are going to yell at him when he cries.
I know darn well my son wasn't given enough numbing medication because Steidle did the same thing to ME. He also has SEVERAL reviews for being aggressive with adults AND CHILDREN.
Do not take your kids here.
I'm sure he will respond to this review in a negative, defensive way. He has posted his own review, defending himself, in the past. But the amount of negative reviews he has, speaks volumes.

Absolutely horrible experience and would never recommend taking a child here! They wouldn’t allow my daughter to go in with my grandson to have his first cavity filled and he was extremely anxious about it! She questioned the receptionist nicely about their policy and she rolled her eyes! The dental assistant came into the waiting room and argued with her! Beware they use mercury in their fillings!!! Zero stars!!!! Rude unprofessional staff!!!
