- IHIsobel HandlerJul 26, 20253.0While I think this may be a good dentist for adults, it was not a great experience for me and my toddler. It’s advertised that they do pediatric dentistry, but it seems that only applies to older kids (10+ would be my rec). They asked me to wait in the waiting room instead of going back with my 3 year old (I insisted on going back), couldn’t do a thorough cleaning of his teeth despite commenting frequently on how tolerant he was for his age, and asked strange questions like if he drinks coffee. It was clear they were not used to having a patient his age, and I wish some one would’ve raised that to me when I scheduled the appointment. I’ve been to pediatric dentists before who had kid oriented chairs, tools, and distractions to help ease the experience for younger kids and this office had none. It’s possible my experience would’ve been more positive with an older kid or as an adult, but I think they should reconsider advertising that they do pediatric dentistry in this office.

From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel completely welcome — incredibly kind, down-to-earth, and genuinely friendly. What really stood out to me is how non-judgmental they are. If you’re not flossing twice a day every single day (let’s be honest, most of us aren’t), they don’t make you feel guilty or lecture you. Instead, they give helpful, honest advice without any shame or pressure. They also never try to upsell you on whitening, Invisalign, or other add-ons — which is so refreshing. You always feel like their priority is your dental health, not your wallet. Dr. Brian is thorough, gentle, and explains everything clearly. Highly recommend Hartwood Dental to anyone looking for a relaxed, honest, and professional dental experience.
