I went to Poplar Family Dentistry in July 2025 to get a crown replaced and ended up having to return three more times for adjustments. At my last visit on November 25, Dr. Yousef said if the crown still felt off, she had no problem replacing it. The crown still felt too low after adjustments, so I texted the office. Lexie, the receptionist, who acts like the gatekeeper of the office, said the doctor wasn’t in and would get back to me. The next morning I heard nothing so decided to text with no response. When I finally called, Lexie insisted the doctor never said that she would replace my ill fitting crown and that I needed a dental guard, implying I was lying. I asked to speak with Dr. Yousef directly and was refused. In 35 years with two previous crowns I never needed a dental guard yet now for this I'll fitting crown that I've had multiple adjustments to as well as my natural teeth to try to make it work suddenly I need a dental guard. I requested my records. Lexie sent low-quality X-rays but no record notes, claiming the doctor would decide if I could have them. In Pennsylvania, patients have the legal right to their notes. Dr. Yousef eventually called and admitted Lexie must have been “confused,” but still couldn’t recall my adjustment visits or the offer to replace the crown. Even asking me to send the exact dates of appointments we had together! She said she wouldn’t replace it anyway. It became clear that Dr. Yousef seems to rely on the receptionist rather than handling clients directly, which I don’t feel is right. She eventually agreed I could have my record notes after staring she didn't understand why I would want them. When I called a week later asking for them to be emailed, Lexie said they have 30 days to send them. It feels like they’re dragging this out, perhaps so Dr. Yousef can edit the notes to reflect the stories they told. This office has been disorganized, dismissive, and unprofessional. I regret going here and hope this review helps others avoid the same experience.

Dr Yousef and her staff are simply wonderful! I would give them 10 stars if possible just for erasing the overwhelming dread I have always experienced when going to the dentist. They truly understand what it is like for those of us that have anxiety and issues with local anesthesia. All my fears are gone! Additionally the office is immaculately clean and any out of pocket costs were discussed beforehand. No surprises! Overall fantastic experience
