I don’t have insurance and was paying out of pocket when I came in specifically requesting a Pap smear. I was told I didn’t need one because it’s only recommended every five years. This was confusing, as my understanding is that Pap testing alone is generally recommended every three years, while the five-year interval applies to HPV testing or Pap + HPV co-testing.
I also have a history of an abnormal Pap result, so I wanted to continue screening every three years for my own peace of mind. Even after explaining that I was paying privately and simply wanted to proceed with the test, the provider still refused to do it. I ended up having nothing done except a blood pressure check and was still charged $40.
I left feeling neglected and dismissed, especially since I was taking the responsibility for the cost and just wanted basic preventive care. Patients should be allowed to make informed choices about their own health — particularly when they’re paying out of pocket and have a valid reason to request screening.
Afterward, I contacted a different Planned Parenthood location, and they told me that I can get a Pap smear whenever I want, particularly given my history. They confirmed that Pap testing every three years is appropriate in my situation.

I made an appointment to get iud removal, and was told that I needed a referral and out of pocket would cost over 1000 dollars.
Did my research and found out that no referral was needed and on their website it even says .. around 250.
Sacrificed time and money. Please make sure you do your research beforehand so you don’t end up in my position 🤦♀️

The doctor is kind, patient and understanding, some of the staff not so much. Facility is clean, my wait time was short. But I was told everything that was being done to me before hand and I felt listened to and respected by the doctor,l. I go here for all my gynecological appointments I am able to book here. I am so grateful facility that helps so many women.

Staff are terrible! Rude and not helpful... These people need to get out of the healthcare field... They sit back and talk more than they work. When asked questions they roll their eyes, then act like you are the inconveniences. In the back however the doctor bethann was amazing! She really knows her stuff. The girl who went through the question form was also nice.. overall make sure you have some time aside for appointments.. and don't ask the girls at the front desk any questions!

WORST STAFF EVER! I've been coming to this office for years and every time I visit this center, the receptionists are rude. More recently, I wanted to get forms from this center sent to my current provider and was told that I had to come in and sign a release form. Mind you, I live an hour away in Chester County now. Regardless, I took time off of work to make the trip down here. I signed in and was waiting for over a half an hour before I approached the receptionist who wouldn't make eye contact with me and rudely told me that they only release forms between scheduled appointments and that I'd have to wait. When I asked for a time frame, she refused give me an answer and just said "there's one person a head of you." Since then, the 4 people that arrived after me have been helped. I called the center's manager and complained and she said I was misinformed by the call center, but it doesn't rectify the fact that I drove an hour to get one form and have been forced to wait over an hour. I strongly recommend not going to this office because the staff is and has been repulsively rude.
