I appreciate the pharmacists, pharm techs, and all those who work in the pharmacy. I remember going there during the pandemic. They had a small staff- perhaps 2 at any given time- but they kept coming in. They were kind.

3pm on a weekday and no one is answering the phone. Also no mailbox to leave voicemail or holding option so they instruct you to just keep calling. 20 attempts later and still nothing

Downtown newer Safeway. I was there when they opened on a week day at about 5-6am. You could tell employees were preparing for their shifts that morning. I always seem to find parking outside no matter what time I arrive and I've never found the store to be over crowded. It's clean, with lots of glass windows and they had greeters at both entrances that day. Definitely the nicest Safeway in Portland that I've been to in a nice little spot off of Burnside downtown.

I tried using the pharmacy for the first time for a flu shot vaccination since the website had an available appointment. I wish I would have read some google reviews prior) Here’s my experience. I ended up waiting more than hour past my scheduled appointment due. It was clear there were logistical issues with scheduling people, check in procedures and have staff available who were authorized and a lack of trained staff available to give vaccinations.

This has been my go to pharmacy for years. I'm not sure what happened recently but it's gone downhill. I got a prescription yesterday that is rather important, and I have called the pharmacy 14 times in two days, just hoping someone would pick up so I know if my script is ready to pick up, or even got called in properly. This has also been an ongoing issue for my daughter as well. I keep seeing Safeway comment on others posts complaining about the same thing, saying they're going to take care of it. Well....nothing has been done, because it's still happening. I will be moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy from this point forward. I'm not usually one to complain, but this is so frustrating and if you don't take the time to talk to, or show you care about your customers, then I will take my business elsewhere.
