- CWCaspar WhateverDec 2, 20251.0I call just to see if this pharmacy has the meds that my usual pharmacy is currently out of. they tell me I need a script because it's a controlled substance and they can't transfer my information over from a different subway pharm. that's fine. I dumbly assume that the fact that they're asking for a script means they have the meds in stock, so I get my doctor to send another script out. I call literal hours later and the same person answers and then they tell me (after going through the same verification process and looking up my script) they're out. I swear Safeway tortures their pharm techs or something because this stuff ceases to surprise me anymore. i had used my mouth and vocal cords to clearly explain from the very first phone call that I was calling because my usual pharmacy was out of stock. why would I got through the trouble of having another script filled for a different pharmacy that's ALSO out of the meds I need to function.

The only way to find out is to make a trip to the store just to leave empty handed. They also don't have a system to tell you if other pharmacies carry your prescription so you have to hunt! Staff is nice about it, but it's a bad system
