The clerks are usually very busy - which is a reflection on the amount of prescriptions/services they are striving to provide customers. The training that is required to become a pharmacist isn't easy, and it's time consuming. (A 5-7 year program of study.) With only a couple pharmacies in Pendleton, there's not much these employees/pharmacists can do about being "overloaded." I appreciate their commitment and expertise - especially when I'm feeling crummy.

They don’t answer their phone, it’s almost impossible to find out the status of the medication unless you actually go in and wait half an hour to talk with someone. The ladies behind the counter are unpleasant, except for one or two and it is obvious they don’t like their job. They do appear to be overwhelmed, but don’t take it out on the customer who pays for your employment. For the most part the pharmacist is the only pleasant and helpful ones. I’m really sorry my insurance only deals with Safeway those I would take my business elsewhere.
