I had to travel to this location for services due to my extensive chronus illness and autoimmune disease. Said it was mandatory for me to pay them. Everything that was in my bank account before they would consider helping me with financial assistance. This ended up leaving me with no gas money and I ran out of gas on the way home and was trapped on the side of the freeway in the rain for hours in severe pain and bleeding through my clothing without any money for food, ibuprofen, or pads to catch the blood. I wasn't sent with any supplies or medications and this was was so extremely traumatizing after such a physically and emotionally devastating operation to begin with. I just wish they were required to work on a case-by-case basis when it comes to financial assistance so that I could have at least made it home safe. I suggest not being honest with them about how much you have and instead just tell them what you have extra that you can put towards the appointment because they will require you to give them every penny before they consider helping even if it means you won't be able to afford to eat or get home from the appointment.

When I say I was excited to hear about Planned Parenthood coming to Ontario I mean I was thrilled. For so long there were very limited options around here. In fact, I tried for TWO YEARS to get someone to take my birth control implant removed. I knew that it wasn't working to treat my adenomyosis but I just kept getting the run around saying that it was the only treatment option I had. I walk into Planned Parenthood and voila I got it taken out! There was no hesitance, no run around, just quality healthcare. I am now on a birth control that actually helps with my condition. No more three week long periods, no more tremors or flu symptoms. Planned Parenthood has completely changed my quality of life for the better.
