  My sister and I hired Aging Advisors to help us manage our father’s complex medical care. I was impressed with their communication and coordination throughout, especially working with our father who struggled with cognitive and memory issues. We worked primarily with Emily but also her colleagues Janet and Scott. They did everything from schedule and transport our father to medical appointments; advise on priority and timing of care; message doctors and staff; and help with an incorrect ER bill and claim. Suffice it to say, they have broad expertise and capabilities as a team. Emily also helped our father navigate complex medical decisions and weigh various risk factors. These decisions are stressful for individuals and caretakers, but she helped us work through the options and potential outcomes with gentleness and honesty. It may sound odd to outsource management of a parent’s medical care. But when you struggle to balance caretaking responsibilities with your full-time careers, eventually you need to find help. I had no idea that geriatric care management or senior case management was a service available to families. I’m very glad we stumbled upon it and especially the team at Aging Advisors. I cannot recommend them enough!

  When operated as a small, boutique business, the services were competitive and quality oriented. It's now a part of a large corporation with out of state administrators, climbing customer costs, and staff who are under-paid and not encouraged to develop professionally or to provide quality services. AA is a shadow of what it used to be.
