I brought my husband with me to get glasses on Dec 31, 2025. I recommended specsavers st laurent to him because I received great service at the end of 2024.
We had our eye exams (the optometrist was great) ordered our glasses at thr same time and were told it could take up to 2 weeks.
Standard, fine.
I received a text on Thursday Jan 8 that MY glasses were ready.
My husband did not receive a text.
I called Spec Savers on Jan 9 and was told his glasses were received and just needed to get past quality control. My husband should get a text Saturday.
I called just now and spoke with a gentleman with a heavy accent. Apparently my husband's glasses were NOT received and awaiting quality control, it is still at the lab.
Then the gentleman continues to repeat the 2 week rule.
Then he just repeated for the 4th time and wished me a good day and hung up on me.
Now, I take major issue when the customer service person answering the phone does not make me feel HEARD.
I work in a hospital in a customer relation role. I have NEVER treated a patient's family in such a dismissive way. It is disgusting and it is reputational damage...
I now feel like an idiot for referring my husband to get his glasses.
Please ensure that your front staff is properly trained equally in sales and client relations because at the end of the day, those are the voices and faces of your company.
I should also mention that I am the dream client; not because I am nice (which I am), but because I purchase many pairs of prescription glasses (2 sunglasses, 2 regular, 2 reading) all with anti glare, scratch resistantetc) at the end of 2024. When I receive great services open my wallet willingly and I refer friends and family members.
Please ensure your front-line staff is properly trained on proper de-esculation and superior service skills.

Forget about trying to get contracts without prescription, they won't sell you them, I had the box of my last contacts with my size on it and still was denied

My time over went smoothly, their service were simple and to the point, never miscommunication. The eye exam was well conducted with their optometrist and staff. When picking your glasses that fit you, the staff were well-equipped to help find it. Thank you to Herro (Sorry if I butchered it) for helping me find glasses that fit my face fit my style.

terrible customer service. I called and booked because of a black friday deal. the person on the phone assured me that even though they didn’t have appointments for that time period they would have a similar deal. So I booked.
Today while confirming the appointment the man on the phone argued with me about the entire black friday deal- not even about what I had been told- but about the easily verified fact of the deal!!
then lied to me about whether I could talk to anyone else. Needless to say they have lost a customer. permanently
*edit after they responded*- more lies! Nobody has gotten back to me from this business. They’re definitely not trustworthy and from the response below I’m not sure how far up the dishonesty goes. Save your energy and take your business to a company you can trust.
