Understanding and helpful. Communicated with us every step of the way and they did not make the appointment unnecessarily long.

Took my teenage kids here as they could no longer go to the pediatric dentist they seen. After one visit I have lost all faith in this place and will again find another office for my children. While cleaning my daughter’s teeth the hygienist said my daughter had gingivitis, when my daughter asked what that was I told her it was a disease in her gums. The hygienist then laughed at me and said she’s never heard it referred to as a disease….. now growing up that was all over the commercials for mouthwash so I pull out my phone and look it up. It in fact is considered a disease. If the hygienist doesn’t know what she’s talking about I doubt anyone in that office knows what their job is. From check in to the end of the appointment there were so many small things I was uneasy about. The hygienist who obviously did not graduate top of her class ( let’s hope she graduated at all) really pushed me into finding a new place.

I want to preface this by saying the staff at the Xenia office is wonderful and has always treated me with respect and care, but I have an issue with Stonecreek Dental as a practice. I've been going to this clinic for...I think well over a decade now, although the place wasn't always Stonecreek Dental, but a family-owned dental place. When the dentist retired, Stonecreek purchased and moved into the building. Every year, the place seems to be going downhill and the practice as a whole seems to focus more on overbooking and recommending expensive treatment plans for profit. Several times, I've been told I am close to having gum disease, although I have taken all of their recommendations, including using a PerioTray, brushing my teeth twice a day with an electric toothbrush, using a water flosser twice a day, using string floss once a day, and using antiseptic mouthwash twice a day. Like, what else more can I do? I had been toying with the idea of switching clinics for a while now, but today really sold me on the idea of switching. My original appointment was two weeks ago, I was told that the hygienist no longer works at the clinic and they needed to reschedule. I rescheduled for today in the morning. I left at my usual time, and didn't realize how bad traffic and construction were going to be, causing me to be 10 minutes late. This was obviously my fault, but it still sucked to have driven all the way from West Carrollton to Xenia only to have my appointment cancelled, be forced to drive back, and work overtime at work to make up for the time I spent driving. Again, if I had just made the switch to a closer clinic after I moved to West Carrollton, this really could've been avoided. On top of that, they continually overbook. Because the original building housed a small, family-owned dental clinic, the parking lot is still fairly small and can only accommodate around 7 cars. As I was leaving my appointment, I sat down in the car getting ready to leave, only to be yelled at by a guy in the handicapped parking spot telling me that I was taking up the last spot, as if I had just pulled up into a random parking lot to just chill and was not a patient there, and as if I was the only car in the parking lot in the way, when in fact, there were several other cars in non-handicapped spots. I told him I did not design the parking lot and that I was leaving, but whoever you are, I hope you have the day you deserve. I thought, hmm now is the time to try to switch to the practice in Centerville, only to be told that they do not accept my insurance, even though the office in Xenia does, which is honestly just a perfect representation of how stupid the American healthcare system is. And to Stonecreek, stop it with these super gross for-profit practices. With all the turnover and the fact that I've been seen by four different dentists since I've been a patient really shows that the overall environment just isn't good, not just at the Xenia location, but likely at all Stonecreek locations.
